Hey Larry, welcome back! The distance your looking for is 23-1/4". From the top of the A-frame mounting bracket to the top of the motorhead on our etrailer Electric Trailer Jack item # e79GV is exactly 23-1/4". The jack measures 33" overall when retracted.

Our etrailer Electric Trailer Jack item # e79GV has a 3,500 lbs tongue weight capacity and provides up to a 22-1/2" lift. It's designed to fit a standard a-frame coupler bolt pattern.

I attached a couple of dimensional diagrams below so you can see all the dimensions for our etrailer Electric Trailer Jack item # e79GV.

We also have the new etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/ 7-Way and SnapPad item # e82QV. This jack is also designed for a a-frame trailer and provides up to a 22-1/2" lift. This jack has a 5,000 lbs capacity and includes a SnapPad to protect the jack foot and provide more stability. It also comes with a 7-way connector so you can power it off of your tow vehicle instead of wiring it your trailer's battery.

What kind of trailer do you have?
