Manual jacks get old fast when you're trying to hitch up or level. This 5,000 lb electric A-frame jack runs off your 7-way, lifting your trailer with a switch, while the drop leg adds the extra reach you need to dial in height before leveling.
You remember all those mornings spent fighting with a manual jack, hands sore before you've even pulled out of the driveway? Upgrading to this electric jack with a 7-way connection takes away the pain and makes hooking up easier. Just plug in, press the switch, and your trailer lifts on its own, shutting off automatically at the highest and lowest points. Hauling a loaded camper, taking livestock to the fair, or bringing the ATVs along is no problem with 5,000 pounds of lifting power.
The drop leg gives you up to 9.75 inches of extra height in seconds, so you can fine-tune your height without reaching for extra blocks. The pull-pin design adjusts in 2" increments to help you get close to level before dialing it in. If you're setting up before sunrise or rolling in late, the built-in LED lights up your coupler so you can see what you're doing. And if you ever lose power, the backup crank makes sure you can still finish hooking up and get back on the road. The included foot plate also works with the 6" Round SnapPad Foot, part MN6SP1, if you want a wider base on softer ground.
Rain rolls in and road spray cakes everything underneath your trailer. The double-coated steel helps fight off rust from salt and sun, while the waterproof motor cover and rubber-sealed switches help keep moisture out after a stormy night. Bolt it on with the included hardware, plug into your 7-way, and you're set for the next campsite.
Your jack just needs to lift the tongue weight, usually 10 to 15% of your trailer's total weight. For example, if your trailer plus gear weighs 10,000 lbs, your tongue weight will be 1,000 to 1,500 lbs. Just make sure your jack's rated for at least that much. It's fine to go bigger, as a higher-capacity jack often makes lifting easier.
This jack draws power through your vehicle's 7-way connector, and that setup may not work with many Ford F-150 trucks from 2015 and newer that use a smart 7-way. On those trucks, the 12V circuit may only provide limited managed current after the trailer is positively detected and other conditions are met. That circuit is not intended to run a high-draw device like this jack motor. This issue is commonly tied to factory tow packages, including Ford Trailer Tow Package and Max Trailer Tow Package, while many base models do not have the same limitation.
