Features to know about

Easy Setup, Anytime

You remember all those mornings spent fighting with a manual jack, hands sore and energy running low before the day even started? With this electric jack, you just wire up the included pigtails to your 12-volt system, press the switch, and let the motor do the lifting. The jack shuts off automatically at the highest and lowest points, so there's no guesswork or risk of overextending. Hauling a loaded camper, taking livestock to the fair, or bringing the ATVs along is no problem with 3,500 pounds of lifting power.
drop leg
The drop leg gives you up to 4-1/2 inches of extra height in seconds, so parking and leveling are easier - no more fumbling for wood blocks at your campsite or parking spot. If you're setting up before sunrise or rolling in late, the built-in LED lights up your coupler so you can see what you're doing. And if you ever lose power, the backup crank makes sure you can still finish hooking up and get back on the road.

Built for Real Life

e79gv weatherproof controls
Rain, muddy campgrounds, and rough weather won't slow you down. The jack's double-coated steel stands up to rain, road salt, and sun, so rust isn't a worry, and the waterproof cover keeps the motor ready for your next excursion. Rubber guards keep moisture out of the switches and crank opening, so you can count on everything working smoothly even after a stormy night.

No Fuss, No Guesswork

No complicated wiring or special tools needed here. Just bolt the jack on with the included hardware, wire the pigtails to your 12-volt power source, and you're ready for the next trip.

How to Pick the Right Trailer Jack Capacity

Your jack just needs to lift the tongue weight - usually 10 - 15% of your trailer's total weight. For example, if your trailer (plus gear) weighs 30,000 lbs, your tongue weight will be 3,000 - 4,500 lbs. Just make sure your jack's rated for at least that much. Its fine to go bigger, as a higher-capacity jack often makes lifting easier.

Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Jack - Electric Trailer Jack A-Frame - e79GV

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our very own etrailer electric jack. Folks, it's for an A-Frame trailer, and it's rated at 3,500 pounds capacity. Now, this electric jack's gonna make lifting and lowering your A-Frame trailer quicker effortlessly, and it operates pretty quiet. So I've got this wired up today to a battery, so we're just gonna go and turn this on, give you an idea of how quiet it really is. (electric jack whirring) And as you can hear, it's not too loud.

(electric jack stops whirring) I'm gonna go ahead and shut it off right there. So, pretty quiet, you have top mounted on and off buttons for extending and retracting it, and then you have a light button here which will illuminate a light downward at nighttime. And then on top you have a rubber plug here, you'd simply pop that open, and then you could insert the included wrench here if needed, if for some reason you lost power or something, to manually crank the jack up or down. You're also gonna get some hardware, you're gonna get the bolts, they're gonna mount to the A-frame part of the jack here, then mounting it to your trailer to complete that connection. These buttons up here on top, they are waterproof, they're covered with the flexible rubber-like boot to keep water out and protect the inside of the housing.

You got a nice hard plastic case here as well, and that's gonna do a really great job of protecting the guts, the motor, everything inside this jack. And you have a nice length of wire, about four feet, maybe even a little longer, as far as the wire for connecting this up. As far as powering it, it's pretty simple, 12-volt power source. It has an automatic reset so you don't have to worry about a relay fuse or anything like that, it's got one built into it, and it's going to automatically protect the motor from overloading or short circuits, and then it's gonna reset itself automatically, and that way you don't have to worry about replacing spare parts or anything like that. So again, you have that nighttime LED that's gonna shine down if you need it.

As far as some quick dimensions overall, from this bracket to the ground, when it's fully retracted, it's nine inches tall. This bracket to the ground when this jacket is fully extended is going to be 27 inches off the ground. Now, I'm gonna throw up an image of my buddy here from the photo team, and he's got that fully extended there, so you can see it goes about chest height on him. So you have 18 inches of lift overall, plus another four and a half inches of travel with this manual drop leg here. So you can simply pull the pin here, and that's gonna give you an additional, like I said, four and a half inches of travel with that manual drop leg.

So if you will need that, you have that option as well. You simply just put the pin back in, snap it over like that for safety, and then you'd be ready to go. (electric jack whirring) So again, overall height, 33 inches when it's fully retracted. This is the etrailer electric trailer jack, made for A-frames, with the two wires for wiring it directly to your 12-volt power source. Folks, I'm Steven, thanks for watching, I hope this information's been helpful for you. As always, we welcome any kind of feedback, photos, we wanna see some pictures of this installed on your trailer. Have a good one.
