You remember those mornings spent fighting with a manual jack, before you've even pulled out of the driveway. This 5,000 lb electric A-frame jack connects through your 7-way plug, so you press the switch and let the motor raise or lower your trailer. It delivers 18" of powered lift, making it a strong fit for larger campers, equipment trailers, and heavier setups.
The drop leg gives you up to 9-3/4" of extra height in seconds. The pull-pin design adjusts in 2" increments, helping you get close to level before fine-tuning. If you're setting up before sunrise or rolling in late, the built-in LED lights up your coupler. And if you ever lose power, the backup crank lets you finish hooking up and move on.
This kit includes a 7-3/4" octagonally-shaped SnapPad, with a 6" round inset, that permanently attaches to the jack' foot plate. The heavy-duty rubber pad increases ground contact to help reduce sinking in soft grass or gravel. It also helps cushion the metal foot against asphalt or concrete, helping reduce scuffs and vibration.
Rain rolls in and mud follows you into camp. Road spray coats everything underneath your trailer. Water-resistant construction helps protect the motor, while rubber guards help keep moisture out of the switches and crank opening after a long night of bad weather. Bolt the jack onto your A-frame with the included hardware, connect the 7-way, and you're ready for the next stop. The integrated SnapPad adds a wider rubber base that stays attached, giving you more footing on soft ground without dragging out extra blocks.
Your jack needs to lift the tongue weight, usually 10 to 15% of your trailer's total weight. For example, if your trailer weighs 10,000 lbs fully loaded, your tongue weight will typically be around 1,000 to 1,500 lbs. Choose a jack rated comfortably above that number.
This jack draws power through your vehicle's 7-way connector, and that setup may not work with many Ford F-150 trucks from 2015 and newer that use a smart 7-way. On those trucks, the 12V circuit may only provide limited managed current after the trailer is positively detected and other conditions are met. That circuit is not intended to run a high-draw device like this jack motor. This issue is commonly tied to factory tow packages, including Ford Trailer Tow Package and Max Trailer Tow Package, while many base models do not have the same limitation.
