Recommended Flat Tow Setup for 2025 Jeep Wrangler Sport

In need of recommendations for a tow bar package. 2023 East West Entrada class C with 7500lb tow capacity, flat towing 2025 Jeep Wrangler sport - 2door. Need everything for RV and jeep. There is a 7 pin connector at the hitch.

Hey Pat! To flat tow your 2025 Jeep Wrangler Sport you need a tow bar, base plate kit, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental brake system. I recommend the following:

-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5

-Roadmaster Falcon 3HD Tow Bar # RM27NQ

-Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645 (fits channel guides on tow bar)

-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267 (If you do NOT have ParkSense)

OR

-Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM63MR (If you DO have ParkSense)

-Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251

Both wiring kits come with a 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord to connect to the 7-way on your motorhome. You may also need a high-low adapter to keep your setup level. I went ahead and attached a help article below which explains how to measure and choose the correct adapter. If you have any other questions feel free to reply below.

Thanks Robin. 2 more questions on this set up. 1) I noticed some tow bars require a stringer to keep the tow bars from spreading, is the Roadmaster direct connect stout enough that this is not required ? 2) Does this set up keep the Towed vehicle battery charged or is there supplemental that is needed for charging a towed battery on long trips ? Thanks

@AdditionalT I think you're talking about the ones with the crossbar design that use something like # 910021-00 to attach to the base plate kit. That is not necessary with this setup. It is an older design and not as nice as the direct connect. It will hold up no problem. The battery doesn't drain when towing so a charge line isn't required. However, it doesn't hurt, especially if you're not running it for a long time. You can add a charge line kit with # RM-156-25. If your motorhome 7-way doesn't have a charge line running to it you will also need # RM-156-75
