Hi, I wanted to get your opinion on the best mounting plate and tow bar system from Blue Ox that will work well on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4WD 4 Door Sahara. Please advise! Thanks

There currently isn't a compatible Blue Ox base plate for your 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. There is however the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5 which is a compatible fit (standard factory bumpers). These base plates have a direct-connect connection point for quick and easy hookup as well as removable arms to preserve the factory look of your Jeep when not in use.

For the tow bar I recommend the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates - 2" RV Mount # e74ZR. This tow bar is compatible with the Roadmaster Base Plates without the need for an adapter. It features non-binding latches and telescoping, self-supporting arms that make for fast, easy hookup on any terrain. It has an adjustable head that tilts up or down 3" to keep tow bar parallel with road during towing and the shank has a built-in 1-1/2" rise or drop for additional adjustability to help prevent you from having to purchase a high/low adapter. It also includes safety cables as well.

To flat tow your Jeep you'll also need a tow bar wiring kit and braking system. If you haven't already purchased these items the I have the following recommendations for you:

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your Jeep's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. This kit will come with a 6-way socket for your Jeep as well as an adapter cable to go from the vehicle to the motorhome.

Note: If your Jeep has ParkSense Proximity Sensors then you will need the Roadmaster Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM47ZR and the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 instead.

Braking System: Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700. This system offers automatic, real-time braking in your towed Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The actuator box installs permanently so that you never have to remove, adjust or reactivate. The system connects to your RV and engages the car's brakes when the RV brake lights illuminate.

You will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490 to ensure that your supplemental braking system is properly positioned and working effectively. This kit activates your RV's monitoring system to alert you when the brakes of your towed car are being applied.
