Thanks for your question, James.

Both the etrailer # e98948 and Demco # DM9519336 base plates will have a very similar, low-profile look once they’re installed, so neither one really stands out more than the other.

They’re both custom-fit for your Wrangler, and you’ll be able to retain your factory fascia and front air dam. There will be a bit of trimming involved during installation, but once everything is in place, especially with the removable arms taken out, you’re left with a really clean finish. I'm more bias to the etrailer baseplate so I definitely recommend that one the most.

I installed the Etrailer base plate on my 2023 Wrangler Sahara. I had to do a little extra trimming on the air dam once it was reinstalled even though I used the supplied template. My setup was almost identical to the photo shown for the Etrailer base plate. When looking at it from normal height and angle ( not down low such as on your knees) it is not very noticeable against the black air dam and it doesn’t protrude past the bumper with the arms removed. It worked quite well and without any issues at all.

I, too, went with the etrailer base plate. We have had no issues it at all. Installation was relatively easy. The biggest issue I had was trimming the skid plate on my Gladiator just because it is metal and I had to use a grinder, buffer and paint to clean it up. The bumper is easy to remove. Be sure to watch the video that can be found on the etrailer website. It is excellent. I had it on my laptop in the garage with me. I watched the video a couple of times before beginning the process and then played at again pausing after each step. I also was able to do the project by myself, but an extra set of hands would come in handy.

I went with the etrailer, no regrets! I installed myself and it was straightforward and easily done. It took about two hours start to finish. Torqued and lock nut glue and done. Two years in and no sign of wear , rust, or any problems. I crazy safety aware, and do visual and checking all bolts etc before any trip.

The e- trailer base was easy to install & looks great, most people who see it says u can hardly tell because it such low profile,glad I went with it !!!! Highly recommend it !!!!

Good morning Gwendolyn. Found your info in my spam folder, sorry. Awesome information you provided. Ok, I will go with the etrailer invisible base plate., as you recommended . I will be installing on 2025 Jeep Wrangler with plastic bumper. I will be going with the Demco Air Force One since my motor home already has the air line installed from previous owner. NOW, I need help finding a wiring kit for the Jeep tail lights. I suppose they need diodes?. I would like a plug and play with diodes built in and no splicing. Like plugs into the factory wiring harness. Also need a 6 pin connector to plug the motor home into near the base plate. It’ll probably be wired into the braking lights wiring harness which would be a 4 pin, but can cut off and wired specifically. One more thing, a way to keep the Jeeps battery charged while towing. When you get time, could you help us out with finding the correct parts to order? Thank you for your expertise, James
