Your 2017 Chevy Equinox AWD is flat towable with a max speed of 65 mph as stated in the owners manual of your vehicle. Now if you hit 66 miles per hour for a few seconds when towing is the car going to immediately be damaged? Probably not, but to be on the safe side since transmission repairs aren't cheap I'd recommend sticking with 65 as the max.

For flat towing your Equinox, I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1689 along with the Blue Ox Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 6,500 lbs # BX7420. This comes with the safety chains needed.

For your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will use diodes to allow you to utilize your factory wiring for a clean look. You will also need the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass - 13" - 20-Amp Mini-Fuse # RM76511 and the # RM-156-25 to get power to your towed vehicle.

For your supplemental braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 which will only require adjustment at installation and then becomes a plug and play system. You will need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751439 to allow function because the vehicle power is off.

The last thing you will need is a high low adapter. I've attached and article to help you determine best fit for your motorhome and have linked the options
