I have a 2024 Maverick Hybrid and I woudl like to install a tow system using a Demco Base Plate, Demco Stay and Play Braking System, and would like to know what other items I need for a Tow Bar to fit, and would like to wire so I can use the trucks brake and signal lights.

Hi Scott; to flat tow your 2024 Ford Maverick you will need a base plate, tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental braking system. In addition to the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM77YV and Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251 or # DM86VR (with wireless monitor) you already selected you will need the following:
-Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511012 (comes with safety cables)
-Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
-Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25
-Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
The wiring kit allows you to use your Ford Maverick's tail lights and wiring system. The charge line kit will keep your battery from draining and the relay kit is necessary for the installation of the Stay-IN-Play Duo. The Commander II has a built-in rise/drop of 1-1/2" but you may still need a high-low adapter to keep your tow bar level. Hi Robin, If you aren’t using the sta-n-play but the Patriot instead, do you still need the brake relay on the Maverick? Thanks
