There are five items you need when flat-towing your 2008 Honda Fit. You need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for your Fit, and most states now require a supplemental brake system.

The base plates I recommend are the Blue Ox Base Plates, part # BX2252. For a tow bar I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha, part # BX7380. This tow bar lets you hook up your towed vehicle, even when you are on ground that is not level.

For safety cables I recommend part # RM-643.

For the wiring you will want the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267

For a supplemental brake system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot, part # BLU37TR. This is a wireless, radio frequency system that applies the brakes ion the Fit in direct proportion to the braking action of the motorhome.

finally, you would want the tow bar to be perfectly level but within 3 inches high or low is considered acceptable. I have attached a link to the high-low adapters we offer you can check out.
