Question:
Hi I have a blue ox patriot braking system that needs to be charged every 3 months. which I’m trying to sell. It takes 8 hours to charge. I have a different vehicle now, which I could charge before. . So my two vehicles have a cigarette lighter but only works when the vehicle is running! Can I use this to charge my blue ox patriot braking system?

Expert Reply:
Yes! The 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 will work wonderfully to charge your Blue Ox Patriot braking system.
This kit is used If the towed vehicle has no power to the outlet with the key in this position. This kit can also be used to replace a 12-volt outlet with insufficient amperage (less than 15 amps), or to bypass a corroded or otherwise damaged 12-volt outlet.
