Difference Between Blue Ox BX7380 Alpha 2 and Original Alpha Tow Bar

Question:

What is the difference between the Blue OX Alpha and Blue Ox Alpha 2 tow bars? They look the same. BX7365 and BX7380. Updated?

The Alpha 2 is indeed an updated version.

The difference between the original Blue Ox Alpha and the # BX7380 Alpha 2 tow bar is that the Alpha 2 has non-binding latches, while the original Alpha did not. Non-binding latches, are just that, they easily release even if the vehicle isn't on perfectly flat ground. So, if you find yourselves sometimes camping at sites that are a little on the primitive side, having the non-binding latches would certainly be a plus.
