Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 2-5/8" Rise or 3-1/4" Drop

A level trailer makes all the difference in how it tows. This fixed ball mount gives you both rise and drop options, so you can flip it whichever way keeps your setup even. With a 2-5/8" rise or 3-1/4" drop measured from the top of the receiver opening, it’s easy to dial in the right height for smooth, controlled towing.

Built for Everyday Towing: 3,500 lbs GTW Rating

When you’re hauling small campers, light boats, or utility trailers, you want a mount that’s sturdy without being overbuilt. This drawbar handles a gross towing weight of 3,500 lbs and a 350 lb tongue weight. The 9-3/8" length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole gives you enough clearance for most trailer couplers while keeping the load stable behind you.

Stays Corrosion-Resistant: Gloss Black Powder Coat Finish

Weather and road grime can wear down metal in no time, but this steel shank is protected with a corrosion-resistant black gloss powder coat finish. The surface goes through a 7-stage washing method before coating to ensure a clean, sealed finish that holds up mile after mile.

Simple and Reliable Setup: Fixed Ball Mount with 3/4" Ball Hole

Some towing gear gets complicated fast, but this one keeps it straightforward. The fixed design means no adjustments or moving parts—just solid steel where it counts. The platform has a 3/4" diameter ball hole ready for a hitch ball sized to your trailer’s coupler. Hitch pin and clip or lock are sold separately so you can choose your preferred setup.

The service of the team at etrailer
Was
fantastic !!

by:

The Class II Drawbar is working great with our 2016 Chev. Equinox. Thanks.

by:

Holds the ball very well and fits into the receiver socket nicely.

by:

The hitch package I installed on my 05 Camry is holding up great and pulls my bass tracker like a charm!

by:

A nice little receiver adapter that is strong. Good quality, nothing to worry about here.

by:

The hitch was exactly what I needed and works great for the receiver on the car. Shipment was quick and the quality and price were great.

by:

It had a few burs that had to be smoothed off to fit in the receiver and for the pin to go through but other than that it should be good to go for the kayak trailer.

Thank you so much for your response
and follow up to my recent order. I didn't expect to receive my Curt Hitch and drawbar order as quickly is as did. Thank you again for your attention and promptness in processing my order. It's been a pleasure to deal with your company and I would urge people to do business with you.

by:

Though etrailer recommended the 7 1/4" length for the Focus ST models, measuring the length required is more than 7 1/4. The 9 3/8" length is a perfect match for the bumper profile.

by:

I'm using this to haul small trailer with Chevrolet Equinox. Hitch on this SUV is rated at 3500 lbs. max. Product is well made.

by:

I have been impressed with you guys so far. Your prices are good and to have what I need. I went on {a different website}, but I like to deal with people, and talk to them when its needed, {that other website} is a selling machine, they are good with returns, but they really don't know their products, and rely on reviews to give you answers. Anyway, I will be calling you guys very soon to buy a wiring harness, and I,d like to pick one of your technicians brain for the right harness. Thanks Again for being out there

by:

Product and services were excellent. The eTrailer website is clear and concise, and offer DIY videos for all products. Major plus !!

etrailer service technicians are very professional and follow up on calls and deliveries. Prices are very competitive, with shipping costs included.

I've recommended to friends who were also very satisfied.

Thanks

by:

Excellent quality and fits the car (distance from fender to trailer)
I would recommend.

It works perfect for the Volvo S60 when towing a small camper tenttrailer.

Works great

by:

I really like this ball mount for my Ford Fusion.
This is a solid piece of steel.
I did turn it upside down to get the trailer tongue to look ok.

I bought this with the Curt C12091 hitch for the Ford Fusion.

by:

A good product! This is the second hitch I have installed using etrailer and it went as well as the first. Not being a super skilled Tech it took longer than expected, but for me it was a project that needed to be done, and I enjoy a good project when it comes together, no matter if it took a little longer due to an average person's tool inventory and simple jack stands and floor jacks. The instruction videos are the best I have seen as of yet. If you enjoy working with your hands, I recommend etrailer products!

by:

This, and the trailer hitch I purchased earlier are good, solid products. There was a bit of very hard paint preventing the hitch key from going through the hole, mut a half minute with a round file cleaned it out. The paint is TOUGH so I guess that will be good for long wear.

The tongue had blown through the end of the shipping package, but there was no damage.

The whole experience with etrailers.com was excellent, especially with the video instructions.

by:

Everything I order is as it should be, and the phone help is hard to find now days. Thank you

by:

Online ordering was a breeze and the item shipped within a day or two of ordering. etrailers let me know via e-mail when the order was filled and provided a tracking number.

The drawbar was well packaged and quality is perfect....good welds, solid paint to prevent corrosion and the holes for the pin and ball are perfectly sized...no slop and not too tight. I would purchase again from etrailer

by:

It was easy to use the website to find the correct hitch parts for my car and to order. They arrived when expected and in an intact box, well packaged. Was able to easily install in under an hour.

Everything is still working great. Thanks.

by:

Customer service is great, returns are trouble free and fast. The hitch is very solid, and came with all hardware needed to install. I had to return a defective wire harness. Replacement worked fine. I put this on my 04 Chrysler 300M, a car that really wasn't built for towing, and the hitch works great !!

I got an excellent product at a fair price, from a company that stands behind what they sell.

I'm glad I made my purchase with etrailer.com.

by:

I needed a ball mount that would keep the tongue lock away from the spare tire on my Jeep.
This mount gave me just enough clearance so the tire cover clears.
Handled a small trailer with 1500 # of rock / concrete easily.

Great addition for the trailer.

Great service, fast shipping.

Thanks

Yes, I still like it

I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed.

This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. The employees are so helpful, the video tutorials on the web site are fantastic and the prices are great. etrailer.com is the first place I go to look for trailer and towing supplies!

The ball mount and ball that I bought last year has worked out well, and is still in great shape. But Ive come to expect that etrailer.com will sell me a quality product. Thats just what they do!

by:

I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once.
I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball.
This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

Still glad I purchased a new mount instead of trying to change ball sizes.

Received as ordered and no defects. It fits well with the Class II hitch on my 2014 Ford Fusion.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Ford Fusion
Long story short you would need a trailer to transport a heavy duty power scooter with a 2015 Ford Fusion. The highest rated hitch we offer for your vehicle is the Curt part # C12091 that has a 350 lb tongue weight rating which doesn't sound like it would be enough when you consider the weight of the carrier as well. This hitch would work well to tow a light trailer with though. For a ball mount you would want the part # C45016, hitch ball # 19256 for 1-7/8 inch and part # 19258 for 2...

I do have a trailer hitch receiver that will fit your 2004 Volvo XC70 but it has a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, not a 2" receiver tube opening. They do not make one with such for your Volvo and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13559 that you referenced will not fit. The correct trailer hitch I recommend for you is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C12318 which as previously mentioned has a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. • Ball Mount and Roof Rack for 2015 Ford Escape
Let's start with the ball mount; since your Escape has a towing package and a hitch, you should start with a ball mount. You mentioned a Class II hitch so I am assuming your receiver is 1-1/4". As for the correct rise or drop, since your camper company specified 16 inches to the top of the ball you'll only need to measure from the ground to the top of your hitch receiver and find the difference between the two measurements. If the height of your hitch is greater, you will need a ball...

Hey John, good news, we got everything you're looking for! So for a hitch, I'd suggest going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12169 which has a nice 3,500 lb capacity, for a wiring harness I'd recommend going with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56370 which is a custom fit wiring harness, and finally for a ball mount with 2" hitch ball I recommend going with the Curt Class II Drawbar # C45016 & # 19258. • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2010 VW GTI MK6
For your 2010 VW GTI, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11000. This is a system rated for 2000 lbs max and 200 lbs tongue weight max, so you will want to make sure your trailer doesn't exceed that and that your towing capacity in your owners manual allows for that. The manufacturer specs trump the hitch ratings, so you will go off that capacity if it is less than the hitch is rated for. For a ball mount, I recommend the Curt Class II Drawbar...
