A level trailer makes all the difference in how it tows. This fixed ball mount gives you both rise and drop options, so you can flip it whichever way keeps your setup even. With a 2-5/8" rise or 3-1/4" drop measured from the top of the receiver opening, it’s easy to dial in the right height for smooth, controlled towing.
When you’re hauling small campers, light boats, or utility trailers, you want a mount that’s sturdy without being overbuilt. This drawbar handles a gross towing weight of 3,500 lbs and a 350 lb tongue weight. The 9-3/8" length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole gives you enough clearance for most trailer couplers while keeping the load stable behind you.
Weather and road grime can wear down metal in no time, but this steel shank is protected with a corrosion-resistant black gloss powder coat finish. The surface goes through a 7-stage washing method before coating to ensure a clean, sealed finish that holds up mile after mile.
Some towing gear gets complicated fast, but this one keeps it straightforward. The fixed design means no adjustments or moving parts—just solid steel where it counts. The platform has a 3/4" diameter ball hole ready for a hitch ball sized to your trailer’s coupler. Hitch pin and clip or lock are sold separately so you can choose your preferred setup.

Though etrailer recommended the 7 1/4" length for the Focus ST models, measuring the length required is more than 7 1/4. The 9 3/8" length is a perfect match for the bumper profile.
I'm using this to haul small trailer with Chevrolet Equinox. Hitch on this SUV is rated at 3500 lbs. max. Product is well made.

I did turn it upside down to get the trailer tongue to look ok.
I bought this with the Curt C12091 hitch for the Ford Fusion.
A good product! This is the second hitch I have installed using etrailer and it went as well as the first. Not being a super skilled Tech it took longer than expected, but for me it was a project that needed to be done, and I enjoy a good project when it comes together, no matter if it took a little longer due to an average person's tool inventory and simple jack stands and floor jacks. The instruction videos are the best I have seen as of yet. If you enjoy working with your hands, I recommend etrailer products!
This, and the trailer hitch I purchased earlier are good, solid products. There was a bit of very hard paint preventing the hitch key from going through the hole, mut a half minute with a round file cleaned it out. The paint is TOUGH so I guess that will be good for long wear.
The tongue had blown through the end of the shipping package, but there was no damage.
The whole experience with etrailers.com was excellent, especially with the video instructions.

Customer service is great, returns are trouble free and fast. The hitch is very solid, and came with all hardware needed to install. I had to return a defective wire harness. Replacement worked fine. I put this on my 04 Chrysler 300M, a car that really wasn't built for towing, and the hitch works great !!

Yes, I still like it
I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed.
This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. The employees are so helpful, the video tutorials on the web site are fantastic and the prices are great. etrailer.com is the first place I go to look for trailer and towing supplies!

The ball mount and ball that I bought last year has worked out well, and is still in great shape. But Ive come to expect that etrailer.com will sell me a quality product. Thats just what they do!
I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once.
I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball.
This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

Still glad I purchased a new mount instead of trying to change ball sizes.
Received as ordered and no defects. It fits well with the Class II hitch on my 2014 Ford Fusion.
