Corrosion-resistant ball mount is 9-3/8" long and fits 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers.I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed.
This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. The employees are so helpful, the video tutorials on the web site are fantastic and the prices are great. etrailer.com is the first place I go to look for trailer and towing supplies!
I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once.
I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball.
This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

Still glad I purchased a new mount instead of trying to change ball sizes.
I needed a ball mount that would keep the tongue lock away from the spare tire on my Jeep.
This mount gave me just enough clearance so the tire cover clears.
Handled a small trailer with 1500 # of rock / concrete easily.
Great addition for the trailer.

Customer service is great, returns are trouble free and fast. The hitch is very solid, and came with all hardware needed to install. I had to return a defective wire harness. Replacement worked fine. I put this on my 04 Chrysler 300M, a car that really wasn't built for towing, and the hitch works great !!

A good product! This is the second hitch I have installed using etrailer and it went as well as the first. Not being a super skilled Tech it took longer than expected, but for me it was a project that needed to be done, and I enjoy a good project when it comes together, no matter if it took a little longer due to an average person's tool inventory and simple jack stands and floor jacks. The instruction videos are the best I have seen as of yet. If you enjoy working with your hands, I recommend etrailer products!

It works perfect for the Volvo S60 when towing a small camper tenttrailer.
This, and the trailer hitch I purchased earlier are good, solid products. There was a bit of very hard paint preventing the hitch key from going through the hole, mut a half minute with a round file cleaned it out. The paint is TOUGH so I guess that will be good for long wear.
The tongue had blown through the end of the shipping package, but there was no damage.
The whole experience with etrailers.com was excellent, especially with the video instructions.
It was easy to use the website to find the correct hitch parts for my car and to order. They arrived when expected and in an intact box, well packaged. Was able to easily install in under an hour.

I really like this ball mount for my Ford Fusion.
This is a solid piece of steel.
I did turn it upside down to get the trailer tongue to look ok.
I bought this with the Curt C12091 hitch for the Ford Fusion.
I have been impressed with you guys so far. Your prices are good and to have what I need. I went on {a different website}, but I like to deal with people, and talk to them when its needed, {that other website} is a selling machine, they are good with returns, but they really don't know their products, and rely on reviews to give you answers. Anyway, I will be calling you guys very soon to buy a wiring harness, and I,d like to pick one of your technicians brain for the right harness. Thanks Again for being out there
I'm using this to haul small trailer with Chevrolet Equinox. Hitch on this SUV is rated at 3500 lbs. max. Product is well made.
Though etrailer recommended the 7 1/4" length for the Focus ST models, measuring the length required is more than 7 1/4. The 9 3/8" length is a perfect match for the bumper profile.
The hitch was exactly what I needed and works great for the receiver on the car. Shipment was quick and the quality and price were great.
It had a few burs that had to be smoothed off to fit in the receiver and for the pin to go through but other than that it should be good to go for the kayak trailer.
A nice little receiver adapter that is strong. Good quality, nothing to worry about here.
The hitch package I installed on my 05 Camry is holding up great and pulls my bass tracker like a charm!
Very well made ball mount. Nice, clean welds. Good looking powder coating. Made in the USA and reasonably priced. What is there not to like about Curt products?

The ball mount and ball that I bought last year has worked out well, and is still in great shape. But Ive come to expect that etrailer.com will sell me a quality product. Thats just what they do!
