Question:
Thanks for checking all this for me. It says on the original window sticker class II however, the 1 1/4 won't work. I should have provided you with measurements. 2 inch opening and 17" to the top. I need the 2 inch ball and required reciever. Remeber the trailer manufacture says 16 inches to top of ball to tow level. Thanks so much for all your help.

Let's start with the ball mount; since your Escape has a towing package and a hitch, you should start with a ball mount. You mentioned a Class II hitch so I am assuming your receiver is 1-1/4". As for the correct rise or drop, since your camper company specified 16 inches to the top of the ball you'll only need to measure from the ground to the top of your hitch receiver and find the difference between the two measurements.
If the height of your hitch is greater, you will need a ball mount with that amount of drop. If the height of the coupler is greater, you'll need a ball mount with that amount of rise. Based on a test fit we did of Class II Draw-Tite hitch # 36524 on a 2015 Ford Escape, which was 13-3/4" from the ground to the top of the receiver, it seems likely that you'll need a ball mount with rise, such as the Curt # C45016. This ball mount will give you 2-5/8" of rise, which would work for you if your hitch was in fact 13-3/4" from the ground to the top of the receiver.
With this ball mount you would then need 2" ball # A-82 and pin and clip # F-4.
In terms of a roof rack for your 2015 Escape with a naked roof, 50" bars will not be long enough, and since you want to stick with Thule there are three different parts you will need. The first is 53" Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 (Black) or # TH711400 (Silver), as well as Foot Pack # TH480R and finally Fit Kit for Thule Evo # TH145192.
I have added a link to a video review of this rack on a Ford Edge for you to check out as well.
