This Curt hitch receiver gives you dependable strength for light-duty towing and hauling. With a Class II rating, it’s capable of 3,500 lbs gross trailer weight and 350 lbs tongue weight, so it’s right at home moving a small camper, hauling a utility trailer, or carrying bikes out for the weekend. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening fits the standard Class II ball mounts, carriers, and bike racks most folks already own.
The hitch bolts directly to existing factory holes for a clean install—no welding required. The fully welded, square-tube design lines up easily thanks to Curt’s precision robotic welding process that keeps every mount point consistent. The complete hardware kit and instructions are included, so with basic tools and some driveway space you can get it done without special equipment.
A gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat defends the steel from corrosion and scratches. Whether you drive in rain or snow, this finish holds up against the elements and keeps the hitch looking sharp. The concealed cross tube design leaves only the receiver visible for a tidy appearance.

How was it removing the underbody panel? Im apprehensive about permanently removing something from a brand new vehicle. Is it noticeable visually? Any road noiseother issue? Just looking for some reassurance that removing this panel has no effect aesthetically or otherwise. Thanks!

I am glad that you like the hitch. You mentioned that you would need a different extender and I wanted to give you some information. For part # e93YR, from the pin hole to the back of the upright adapter it is approximately 3 inches so you would want to measure to make sure it would fit for your needs. There is also a straight adapter, part # e43YR, and the distance from center pin hole to center pin hole is 6.5 inches. Keep in min that using the adapter will the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. This will be important when it comes to the weight of the bike rack and bikes.

Nice work getting the hitch on so quickly, that’s a win John. That light staying on isn’t normal, but it’s usually something simple. Most often it’s a weak ground (make sure the white wire is on clean, bare metal), a loose or swapped taillight connector, or sometimes a backfeed from the trailer itself. First, try unplugging the trailer. If the light goes off, the issue is on the trailer side. If it stays on, double check your ground and connections on the car, it needs to be attached to clean bare metal. Let me know if this fixes anything, if not we will dig deeper.
