Question:
I am wondering if this hitch can safely pull a jetski? I have a 2016 fusion titanium. I know towing limit is 2000lbs for the vehicle. The ski fully fueled weighs right around 900lbs and the trailer maybe 200lbs. I think the tongue weight is less than 150lbs also.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Curt trailer hitch # C12091 is rated for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight which exceeds the capacity of the 2016 Ford Fusion by 1,500 pounds. This means that you are still limited to the vehicle capacity even though the hitch can handle more weight. So yes, the hitch can easily handle an 1,100 pound trailer.
The recommended ball mount for this hitch is # C45016. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # A-80. For a 2 inch ball use # A-82. And for trailer wiring you will need # 118574 since you have a Titanium model. I have linked videos showing example installations of the hitch and wiring for you.
