Today we'll be reviewing part number C45026. This is the Curt Class-I Draw Bar made from a sturdy steel construction. It has a black gloss powder coat finish so it is going to stand up well against rust and corrosion. This mount goes through a high-quality manufacturing process, a CNC machine for consistent cuts and welds and it goes through a 7-stage washing method to help deliver a nice clean, smooth surface. Both the drop and rise positions are available to help ensure a more level tow. You see here that it does have a hollow shank here on the back side. When choosing a hitch ball, you want to make sure that shank of the hitch ball does not exceed the ball hole diameter which, for this mount, is going to measure right at 3/4". This is the portion here that's going to slide into the receiver tube of the hitch.
This is the shank of the mount. What you'd do is you'd slide this portion in, line up your pin holes and then, you're going to need a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock. These items are sold separately. You can refer to the Mounts product page in the Related Items to view those products or you can go to our website and type in part number PC2 and it will refer you to this 1/2" pin that comes with a clip. When it's installed in this position, this would be the drop position. We from the inside top edge of the receiver tube to the ball platform.
It's going to give us a drop of 3 1/4". When installed in the rise position doing that same measurement, it's going to us a maximum rise of 2 5/8". The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of this portion here is going to measure about 6". The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the shank is going to measure 1 1/2". The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of our ball hole is going to measure 9 3/8". This mount is going to provide us with a tongue-weight capacity of 200 pounds and a gross trailer weight capacity of 2,000 pounds.
Because of the weight rating, it is classified as a Class-I draw bar. Here at the front, our draw bar thickness is going to be 3/4". Actually, it's just going to measure right over 1/2" at about 5/8" and about 2" in width. That's going to complete today's review of part number C45026. This is the Curt Class-I Draw Bar rated at 2,000 pounds. .

Corrosion-resistant ball mount is 9-3/8" long and fits 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers.I'm very glad to have gotten this hitch, in the year I've had it it's allowed me to trailer motorcycles twice and move myself, saving terrific money over renting a truck. I only wish I had ordered it sooner.
Installation wasn't terribly difficult, though breaking loose the bolts where the hitch installs would likely have been quite unpleasant if I didn't have an 18" wrench handle.
Worked Great!
Very beefy, good quality ball mount. It worked perfectly with my curt hitch for my acura Tl. I tow a harborfreight folding trailer and never have an issue.
My go-to trailer hitch stuff place! Always good prices and easy ordering. "Chelsey" was a great help in selecting the best ball receiver.
Excellent- I bought it to get More length from the vehicle without using a extender(which lowers by 50% your weight limits). It fits the bill perfectly and will tow a 400 Pound Sea Doo Spark with my Chevy Spark which has the E trailer hitch . Great service and speedy delivery!!
I would have rated this product as very good, but it would not fit into my 1.25 inch receiver. It was necessary to grind it down a bit and then repaint it. My other ball mount fit in the same receiver with no modification.
Simple, solid, effective. I needed a longer bar for our hitch in order to clear the back bumper of our 2000 Subaru Outback. This is perfect.
While visiting family in Brooklyn, N.Y. my trailer hitch was stolen. What can you expect it was Crookland, oops I mean Brooklyn. This was an exact replacement. Fast service, nothing bad to say all is good except my feelings for Brooklyn.
Solid product, meets all specs. Hollow shank made it easy to install anti-rattle device.

I needed a hitch with a long shank because of my spare tire being mounted on the back of my Jeep. This one does the trick!

Used on my 1999 Dodge Intrepid's CURT 12006 Class II 1.25 in. Receiver Hitch: 350lbsTW/3500 lbs GTW. I use this Curt Class II Drawbar - 3-7/8" Rise - 11-1/4" Long - 3,500 lbs to tow a 3,500+ GTW dual axle trailer. I have used it with the trailer FULLY loaded and it performs EXCELLENT. You have to make sure the trailer is loaded correctly so as not to put too much down force on the tongue/drawbar. I was skeptical that the SOLID 1.25" bar would not take the load, but it is super strong. I chuck it in the trunk when not in use to protect passerby's shins, but it sticks out far enough clear the Intrepid's bumper, and is solid with a 2" ball (required a bushing). etrailer got it out fast at a good price! I would totally purchase this again from them.

Ordered a Curt trailer hitch receiver to mount on a 2003 Dodge Caravan to pull an old Scamp trailer. Came promptly, installed easily and works well.
Thanks

Were the shank a half inch longer and the pin hole moved to match, this would have fit my car perfectly. As it was, I needed to cut my bumper to install it.
Review from a similar Curt Drawbar in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount
I received what was ordered but it seems like it will be too low for a trailer. I called the company, and the lady was very professional. She verified that I had the correct part and sent info to me on measuring rise & drop for the hitch. I haven't purchased a trailer yet so I will re-order if needed.
Review from a similar Curt Drawbar in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount
I am an infrequent trailer user, but getting my daughter home from college was necessary in March. This drawbar fits my hitch and utility trailer well, did exactly what it is supposed to do, and was the last thing to be concerned about right then. I have a '11 Mini Countryman S with a Class II receiver from Mini Fini, (which cost twice as much as a Curt) where the hole is flush with the fake grille near the bottom of the bumper cover, so I needed the long bar to reach out past the bumper. The Curt receiver for that car hangs visible underneath the bumper (ugly), which also increases the lever arm on the receiver beam and would have needed an even taller rise. (Curt take note!) All just part of the kit to create an occasional 1 ton pickup out of my Mini, leaving the "bed" at home most of the time.
