Installation went as described. An exception was I didn't have to remove the muffler on this jeep. I just lowered it about 8 inches and the hitch slipped in. I did the installation myself and it took a little longer than described in the manual. But, that's just me.
I confirmed with customer service this fit my vehicle. The hole did not line up. They were close, really close but did not line up. The hitch did seem well made and came with all the parts. Etrail got the hitch to me very quickly.

I ordered the wrong hitch at first but they gave me a shipping label and I mailed it back and they refunded my money and looked up my vin and got me the right hitch and wiring harness and it went on perfectly. Took about 2 hours to install including muffler removal which wasn't as big a deal as it first seemed. Recommend this site to anyone and everyone looking for trailer accessories.

Product is still A+ rating. Ive moved up into the mountains recently and Ive used this hitch for everything between towing broke down cars and dragging railroad ties to smooth out the road. Ive chained up to dead trees and yanked them out for firewood. This hitch isnt coming off. Not even loose. I love it !!

Everything was super easy to install. They sent ALL the equipment needed to install the hitch, and wire harness. And 2 people made this installation a breeze. I would recommend this product and company to others looking for items for their vehicles.
Very pleased. This is quality piece of equipment that fit perfectly. Instructions are straightforward and watching all available videos on installation was extremely helpful.
I did the install all by myself using a motorcycle jack and lifted the hitch right into place. Install took me three hours taking my time and doing each step thoroughly.

It’s a tricky install for the novice.. but as long as you’re paying close attention to the instructions it’s doable.

Although I had nothing to do with the installation of this product I did choose it. Therefore I will say that it is perfect on my 2020 Cherokee and looks great. My husband and son did the installation and they did say it was much harder than the video showed!! And they are builder/engineer so not someone unfamiliar with installing things! Anyway, great product, I’ve yet to put my bike rack on but my peace sign tow hitch cover looks great and I’m happy to be able to use it again!
Customer service was great, fast shipping but UPS handling was less than commendable.
I am not sure I was sent the correct unit for my vehicle. It was a struggle to get it to fit. It looks nothing like the pictures and installation video suggested it should look. The hitch is MUCH lower than I expected it to be.
Not real happy with it, but, it's installed and I can't return it. On this vehicle, 2019 Jeep Cherokee, it goes under the bumper which is curved inward and as a result it sticks out considerably and is ugly as a result. My brother bought the same car with a factory hitch and it goes through the bumper which is what I wanted and I thought I was getting. Wouldn't recommend it unless you want an eyesore on the back of your Cherokee.
Look and works great, I use it for my e-bikes and oh course it hands the weight perfectly.

i have a 2019 Trailhawk. The bolt holes in the hitch are smaller than the bolts on the trailhawk. I only had to use 2 of the drop in bolts that came with the hitch. Now I have to drill out the 4 other holes to make it fit correctly
Good fit minor trimming on exhaust tips on a 2021 cherokee lat lux
I chose this hitch because I wanted the behind bumper look but didn’t want to modify the bumper at all. My Cherokee was brand new so dropping the muffler was simple. The hitch does pinch the facia a little bit and if the bumper ever needed the come off so would the hitch.
Glad I picked this hitch! Installation took a few hours. I wasn't hurrying and had a couple "helpers".
Dropping the exhaust was the hardest part just because it was heavy/bulky and the Jeep has over 50,000 New York miles!
Hitch was easy to put on , watching the video was better than the directions for me. Fit like advertised.
Will be using for a bike rack. Highly recommend!
This is the 2nd Curt receiver that I have purchased from e trailer this one was for my 2021 Jeep Cherokee. The receivers are definitely high quality and well built and the fit is perfect. This install was a little more difficult than the last one but not too bad 2 hours but I took my time and didn’t rush
This was an absolute nightmare to install. The holes in the hitch were not elongated to allow for easy bolt up. Resorted to ratchet straps and beating with a hammer to force it into alignment. Once bolted up the hitch works good, but it is not as easy to install as you would expect.
Shipping box [cardboard] had 4, but internal parts ok major holes
Installed in just over an hour working alone. The installation video was great!
I've had the Curt trailer hitch receiver on my 2020 Jeep Cherokee for about 1 year now and am very satisfied with it. It appears to be well built and high quality. I haven't had any issues with it and after a year of ownership have zero complaints.
Installation was fairly easy and I performed it by myself in my driveway with my Jeep on a set of ramps. The most intimidating thing about the installation, at least for me, was removing part of the exhaust at the rear of the Jeep but it was not difficult and everything went smoothly. The Curt hitch can be installed by one person, as I did, but having two people install it would be easier as the hitch is fairly heavy and well built.
After 1 year of ownership I would recommend the Curt hitch to anyone who owns a Jeep Cherokee, especially if you don't want to pay the dealerships markup on a factory hitch or one that the dealership will install for you for a premium price.

After over a year of use the trailer hitch is still working great and looks as good as it did the day I installed it. I would recommend me this hitch to anyone who owns a Jeep Cherokee
The hitch arrived earlier than expected. I had my mechanic install it and he had no issues. Looks great on the vehicle. Definitely made a good choice with a Curt product.

Fits like a glove! Took about a hour with my son and myself. A little hiccup when I fished the side bolts out the wrong hole, but after a little finagling and resetting the bolts in the proper holes, went together just as promised. No trimming of any bumper or exhaust flanges needed. Looks Great! Great customer support with etrailer.com and their installation videos and instructions. Now onto the installation of the Curt T-connector wiring harness. That looks like it might be a little more time consuming with the disassembly of the interior trim and routing of the wire to the battery.

Fantastic! I dont use it much because the Jeep is a small engine 4 cylinder FWD. So I just use it to pull a small camping trailer that I also pull with my motorcycle. The light weight trailer is not a problem for the Jeep. This hitch i capable of a lot more than the vehicle can handle. Great Product.
Installation was exactly as described in the instructions and pretty easy. This is a very sturdy and robust product (as you would expect). I was able to install the hitch by myself although, there were a couple of times where another set of hands would have been super helpful and appreciated. The most difficult part was removing the muffler on my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. This was of no fault of etrailer or Curt, it's just a difficult task. All-in-all, it was straightforward and I would definitely recommend this hitch.

Ive towed a trailer several times up to approximately 3500 pounds with no issues at all. I also use the hitch to mount bike racks. Everything is always secure and doesnt have any unintended effects on the vehicle. I would still recommend.
