  • What is A-Frame Jack with Best Ground Clearance
Hey Kenneth, the A-frame jack with the best ground clearance is the Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2k Which actually lets you select how much of the jack's outer tube fits down below the mounting plate. So it can require basically zero ground clearance if that's what would work best for you.

  • Higher Capacity Replacement for Bulldog 2,000 lb Trailer Jack 155033 on Horse Trailer
Hi Kim; the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack # BD1750290317 you were looking at is the perfect replacement. This will match right up to your existing bolt pattern and you can carry over the foot from your # BD155033. This has a 5,000 lb capacity and comes with a 5-year limited warranty. If you want to add a new foot you can use the # BD018564.

  • Torque Specs for Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack Installation
Hi Patrick; the instructions for the # BD155033 call for the use of three 3/8-16 grade 5 bolts with washers, torque to 15-20 ft. lbs. See the attached picture.

  • Solution for Replacement Parts for Jack on 1996 Ponderosa 2 Horse Trailer
Hi John; without more information to identify that jack there is no real way to see if parts are available. There may be a drop leg that fits but the crank assembly and broken bearing could be anything. Based on the age of the trailer, parts probably aren't around for that jack anymore anyway. More than likely the solution is to cut off the old jack and install one like the # BD155033 which will fit the bolt pattern you have in the picture.

  • Recommended A-Frame Jack with Most Ground Clearance
The distance from the bottom of the mounting flange to the bottom of the outer tube on the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack part # BD155033 is 3-1/2". The mounting flange is 3/16" thick. I have attached a photo of these measurements for you as well. If you need something with even more clearance then the only other option we have is the Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K which measures 1-3/4" with the jack fully retracted and the collar at the lowest setting. I have attached a review...

  • Recommended Made in the USA A-Frame Trailer Jack
Bulldog A-frame jacks like the # BD155033 are made overseas, but there are some Made in the USA options available. If you're looking for an American made A-Frame trailer jack, the A-Frame Trailer Jack - Topwind - 2,000 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson # DL22781 has very similar specs and is made in Hastings, NE. Since this jack doesn't come with a foot/wheel you can use either the Removable Steel Foot with Pin for A-Frame Trailer Jacks by Dutton-Lainson # DL22542 or Removable Wheel with Pin for...

  • Replacement A-Frame Jack With 2 Inch Outer Tube
For your 1999 Jayco Glacier Heritage trailer, I recommend the A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 1,000 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson # DL22530. This is the only jack we have that has that 2 inch outer diameter upper tube. For a foot you'd want the part # DL22541 and then for a wheel part # DL22414. If you need a topwind model like you stated wanting, you will need to enlarge the hole in your coupler to accept the standard 2-1/4 inch outer tube. You can use a hole saw, a rotary grinding tool,...

  • Is There A Standard Bolt Pattern for Mounting a Jack to a Trailer A-Frame
Most jack manufacturers including Fulton, Bulldog and Dutton Lainson use slotted holes in the jack mounting flange. Three inches apart center to center is considered industry standard. Since the holes are slotted, there will be a bit of wiggle room if the holes in your trailer A-frame aren't exactly 3 inches apart.

We have checked with Bulldog in the past about the replacement options for the Bulldog A-Frame Jack part 1551060301 that you have and they were able to give us all of the information we need to offer you a solution. The best option we have is the Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack part # BD155033. • Replacement for a Bulldog TWL 155 X Trailer Jack
The 155 is a series of jacks and not just one jack. It sounds like you might have something more like # BD155022 which has more of the outer tube below the mounting flange. There is also a version with a zinc finish # BD155028.

  • Can't Lower Truck Tailgate Because it Hits the Trailer Jack
There is an easier solution that a different jack. You can use a longer ball mount so that the trailer, and the jack, will be further away allowing you to lower the tail gate without hitting the jack. Then you could use any jack you wanted. If that sounds like something you are interested in I would need to know the length of the ball mount you are using measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole and the amount of rise or drop needed to tow the trailer...

  • How to Choose the Correct Replacement Trailer Jack With Enough Ground Clearance on Rough Terrain
When choosing a jack for your trailer you will want to remember that the jack is not going to be lifting the entire weight of the trailer. You should choose a jack that exceeds the tongue weight of your trailer when it is fully loaded. The tongue weight of a trailer is typically calculated as 10 to 15 percent of the trailer weight. I would recommend finding the gross trailer weight rating (GTWR) which is the maximum weight that your trailer can support and choose a jack that is rated...

  • Low Clearance A-Frame Trailer Jack that Can be Fitted with a Wheel or Footplate
The footplate for Bulldog rack and gear jack # BD018520 is welded to the foot and cannot be removed but I do have some recommendations for you. First, take a look at Pro Series jack # PS1401000303. The mounting bracket is very low relative to the bottom of the jack tubes, 5-1/2 inches. You can use footplate, # PS1400700340 and wheel # PS1400750340. The wheel is rated for 1,200 pounds so it would limit the jack capacity to 1,200 pounds also. And we also have Bulldog jack # BD155033 with...

  • Dimension From Mounting Bracket To Bottom of Outside Tube on Bulldog Round Topwind Jack # BD155033
I went out to the warehouse and measured the Bulldog Round Topwind A-Frame Jack, part # BD155033. The distance from the bottom of the three-hole mounting bracket to the bottom of the outside tube is 3-1/4 inches. The thickness of the mounting bracket is 3/16-inch. I am including a picture that will show the measurements on the Bulldog jack.

  • A-Frame Trailer Jack with 15 inches of Lift and 5-1/8 inches of Retracted Clearance
The best option we have is the Bulldog a-frame jack part # BD155033 which has the correct amount of lift and retracted clearance. It only has a 2,000 lb lifting capacity as this is the highest capacity in the configuration you need. The good news is that 2,000 lbs of lifting capacity should be enough as this rating is based on the tongue weight of the trailer and not the total trailer weight.

  • How Does the Bulldog Bearing Replacement Kit Install on a 2,000 lb Bulldog Jack
I spoke with my contact at Bull Dog and he said the install is pretty easy for the Bulldog Replacement Bearing kit part # BD500251. First you need to remove the jack handle and remove your old bearing/washers. You need to put a washer down first on the screw, put the bearing on top of that facing down (this prevents water from accumulating in the bearing) and then put the washers on top so that your handle is at the original height.

  • Correct Trailer Tongue Jack Capacity for a Trailer with GVWR of 2980-lbs
When it comes to either trailer tires, hitches, winches or jacks, having extra capacity is a good idea. With jacks, using one rated for more weight than you're actually going to ask it to lift means it will have to work less hard to do its job. That tends to mean reduced wear and tear and can lead to a longer working lifespan for the jack. Since the cost difference between 1000-lb and 2000-lb jack is often quite small, it just makes sense to add safety margin whenever possible. For a...

  • Is Drive Nut Replaceable on 2,000 lb A-Frame Trailer Tongue Jack
I did some digging but unfortunately it doesn't look like that nut is replaceable all on its own. I think that is typically changed out with the screw but even then I wasn't able to find anything for a 2K Fulton jack. When I reached out to my contact at Fulton he said that it's actually cheaper to replace the entire jack than it is to replace that screw nut anyways so he recommended just replacing it instead. • What is the Inner Diameter of the Tube on the Bulldog 155033 Jack
As long as your jack stand has a 2" outer diameter tube then, yes, you could use the Bulldog # BD155033 in this manner. This jack has a 15" lift and a 2000-lbs capacity, so you would want to make sure that you're going off the capacity of the jack and not the stands when doing any lifting.
