Low Clearance A-Frame Trailer Jack that Can be Fitted with a Wheel or Footplate
Updated 05/01/2014 | Published 04/29/2014 >
Question:
Is the footplate removable or permanently attached? I would only be interested in this jack if the footplate is removable. I want a low clearance, below the mounting bracket, jack that can be used with either a removable footplate or a removable wheel.

The footplate for Bulldog rack and gear jack # BD018520 is welded to the foot and cannot be removed but I do have some recommendations for you.
First, take a look at Pro Series jack # PS1401000303. The mounting bracket is very low relative to the bottom of the jack tubes, 5-1/2 inches. You can use footplate, # PS1400700340 and wheel # PS1400750340. The wheel is rated for 1,200 pounds so it would limit the jack capacity to 1,200 pounds also.
And we also have Bulldog jack # BD155033 with the same bracket measurement. It can take the same footplate. Use wheel # BD500245 rated for 1,200 pounds. I have linked video reviews for both jacks for you.
