Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Leer replacement prop rod clip set. This is going to replace the prop rod clips on your Leer tonneau cover that will hold your prop rod in place. This is a direct replacement from Leer so you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of the original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, size fittings, and those sort of things. They do include instructions to walk you through that very simple installation process, as well as the Allen wrench that you're gonna need to get these installed.
So, very simple to do. If your originals have become damaged and you're wanting to have your prop rods held in place so that they're not swinging around, that sort of thing, these are gonna be the exact replacements from Leer that you need. These are a perfect replacement for the small clips on my Leer folding bed cover. They are prone to breaking and I was happy to find replacements.
Great item, fast shipping, my only negative is it would be nice to buy just one bracket. I broke one, had to buy a pair, with screws and a wrench. I'm sure the cost would be far less for one. Now I have a spare, but have to hope the left gets broken next time!
I love my leer 4 section folding leer bed cover and rack. These replacement rod clips work fine for plastic. I would however like to see an upgrade.
Works as said used it for my tonneau cover. I bout it used and the clip brackets were broken. It worked for my leer but its not a OEM exact fit the clip is offset differently so you do have to redrill holes but it works just extremely pricy for what you get but in researching it was the only place I could find what I needed as leer doesn't sell there own replacement parts. Only gave it 3 stars due to the price and the fact that you have to add holes since they don't fit exactly like the original ones did. I've had them on for a month or so with no issues so far.
My initial order was received damaged in shipping. I called etrailer and they immediately re-shipped new items in a protected container. I received them in good order and they fit perfectly. Thank you etrailer for exceptional service. Big thumbs up!
These particular parts were available at etrailer.com where they weren't on the OEM site. Very satisfied again, with etrailer!
