Features to know about

Effortless Installation: Custom Plug-and-Play Design

Tired of complicated wiring setups? The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness by Tekonsha makes adding a 4-way trailer connector a breeze. Simply plug it into your existing vehicle wiring without any cutting, splicing, or tapping required. It's a seamless integration that’s perfect for car enthusiasts who enjoy DIY installations but want to avoid unnecessary hassles.

Enhanced Compatibility: ModuLite Technology

Worried about compatibility with different adapters? The ModuLite technology ensures smoother connections by integrating tail light conversion, making it compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters (sold separately). This feature streamlines the intricate wiring differences between your vehicle’s 3-wire system and the trailer's 2-wire system, ensuring everything works in harmony.

Power Protection for Durability: Circuit-Protected Module

Protect your vehicle’s wiring system from overload with the circuit-protected ModuLite HD module. It reduces strain by managing power for stop/turn lights (up to 5 amps per circuit) and tail lights (up to 7.5 amps per circuit). You can drive with peace of mind knowing that your system is safeguarded against electrical issues.

Rust-Free Connections: Dust Cap and Grease Suggestions

Ensure long-term performance with a dedicated dust cap for your 4-way flat connector. By using a small amount of grease on all electrical connections, you’re actively preventing corrosion, ensuring your harness stays in top-notch condition, especially in harsher climates or moist environments.

Maintain Factory Look: Tidy Installation with Hidden Storage

Keep your vehicle’s sleek look intact by neatly stowing the 4-way connector in your rear cargo area when not in use. This solution keeps everything tucked away, maintaining your vehicle's aesthetic while offering easy access whenever you need to hitch up and go.

Installation Details

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind an interior trim panel in your rear cargo area, on the passenger's side. Once you've plugged in the connector, you will have to route the harness through the jack storage compartment to the center of your vehicle. Before plugging the included 7-way socket into the tow harness, locate the fuse box under your hood and insert the provided fuses.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights.

Note

  • This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

The hitch was easy to install and looks great. There was only one problem. I received the hitch with the wrong hardware kit. Customer support was great and shipped me the correct hardware at no cost

The wiring harness was very easy to install and came with excellent, clear instructions.

The wiring harness and circuit has worked flawlessly since I installed it. The materials are still in great shape and are not showing any signs of aging. I expect the wiring will last for the lifetime of my vehicle.

2019 Honda Odyssey

My suggestion for product improvement would be the addition of a connector on the 4-wire cable near the converter. This would allow routing of the cable through the factory-provided hole that's intended for this purpose. The 4 flat connector will not fit through the hole. For a nice clean install as shown in the picture, I had to cut the wire and reconnect them inside the vehicle.

Watched your installation video. Included screw too small for ground wire (2021 Honda Van vehicle hole). Have to drill new hole. Everything was straight forward and easy. About 10 minutes from start to finish. Tested with Circuit Tester. Worked perfectly…many thanks

I purchased the wiring harness for my 2019 Honda Odyssey. It is very easy to install and works great. It comes will all screws and fuses that are required. Great product.

Love being a supervisor. Watched my oldest daughter 35 install this on her own. I was the one passing the tools. Excellent product and directions on trailers video.

by:

Plugs right in. Simple installation.

by:

Installed on 2020 Honda Odyssey. Fast shipping even a few days before Christmas! Super easy to install. I read the instructions and watched a few different YouTube videos as a cheat. The uHaul video shows how to route the harness wires through a small existing vent on the driver's side which I did. I also routed the wires above (inside) the bumper and easily pulled just enough of the harness out to cable tie to the hitch right at the receiver. Great purchase and easy installation.

by:

Easy to install, but I took it a step further. Instructions say to run the wire out the door, and close the door on the wire. I removed the brake/directional light and ran the wire out an unused panel plug, then down under the bumper. This will take an extra 30 minutes but all the wires will be hidden.

Joshua was so helpful with all my orders and getting things right. I would definitely order from eTrailer again thanks to Joshua!!!

  • Parts Needed for Tow Package for 2020 Honda Odyssey
Hey David, so the etrailer hitch part # e98855 is the correct place to start for a tow package but everything else is sold separately as not everyone ends up needing all of the components. So next you'll want trailer wiring and for that the best option is the Tekonsha part # 118781 which installs the easiest and has the most reliable converter box. You will also need a ball mount and a hitch ball but that will be based on more info that we have currently so best option for that is to...

The Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 76170 installs using 6 M12 1.25 x 35 bolts, so you'd need an M12x1.25 tap. Before trying to chase the threads, you'll likely have success just giving the threads a good scrub with a spray lubricant like WD-40 and a battery terminal brush like # DW00254, as the vehicle isn't very old at this point and likely won't have a ton of road crud and corrosion built up in the threads. We go to great lengths to ensure our products arrive to you in good condition,...

  • Trailer Hitch and Brake Controller for 2023 Honda Odyssey
Hey Todd, I would go with the Curt hitch part # C64NR as it's the most hidden option as only the hitch opening hangs below the rear bumper. Then for installing a brake controller the first thing to start with is a 4-way like the # 118781 as it installs the easiest and has a very reliable converter box. Then to convert it to a 7-way the kit you need is the part # ETBC7 which comes with everything needed to convert to a 7-way and wire in a brake controller. Then for a brake controller the...

Hey Matthew, the first thing you need to add a 7-way to your 2022 Honda Odyssey is a 4-way since there isn't a direct fitting 7-way available for your vehicle. So for a 4-way you would want the Tekonsha part # 118781 which is very easy to install and has the most reliable converter box. Now to convert it to a 7-way all you need is the # 37185. If your trailer has brakes that you need to activate you would need to go a different route though. Does your trailer have brakes?

  • Choosing Between Tekonsha or Curt Powered Taillight Converter/Wiring Harness for 2020 Honda Odyssey
Functionally speaking, there isn't a huge difference. The Curt # C56382 has a slightly lower capacity at 3 amps for circuit for stop/turn signals and 6 amps for taillights. The Tekonsha # 118781 has a capacity of 5 amps per stop/turn circuit and 7.5 amps for circuit for taillights. Honestly, you'll probably never need the added capacity unless you're towing something that's lit up like a Christmas tree but having a little unneeded wiggle room as far as capacity goes never hurts. The EcoHitch # 306-X7372 and the Curt # C64NR both have identical weight capacities (3500 lbs towing/525 lbs tongue weight), would install in the same manner, would be visually very similar and the receiver tubes would sit at the same spot in relation to the rear bumper for the same amount of ground clearance. Both hitch crossbars would be concealed behind the vehicle bumper, with only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops being visible. Really the only difference is the cost,...

  • Difference Between Draw Tite Hitches that Fit 2020 Honda Odyssey
For your 2020 Honda Odyssey the big difference between the two Draw Tite hitches you mentioned is that the # 76171 has a visible crosstube and the # 76170 does not. Having the crosstube out of plainsight makes the hitch look a little better and also helps with ground clearance. I do agree that the Tekonsha Wiring harnesses are the way to go. They tend to be the longest lived of the harnesses we offer, but the # 118753 and # 118781 for your 2022 Honda Odyssey definitely make it a little confusing. However, I am here to demystify said confusion and it will actually pretty easy to tell which is needed. This will require you to open the driver side rear access panel in the cargo area. Already having the 4 Flat on your 2022 Honda Odyssey definitely makes upgrading to a 7 Way a lot easier. This is due to the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7 piggybacking off that 4 Flat. The best hitch for your 2023 Honda Odyssey is going to be the etrailer Hitch item # e98855. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Honda with included hardware. I really like the etrailer hitch because it has a matte black powder coat finish which offers superior rust protection and does a better job of blending in beneath your van. • Parts Needed to Install 7-Way Trailer Connector on 2021 Honda Odyssey
There isn't a plug and play option for a 7-way available, but we have the parts you'd need to complete the installation. You'll need to begin by installing a 4-pole trailer connector. There are two iterations of a 4-pole harness available for your Odyssey, the one you need will depend on the setup in the fuse panel located on the driver's side bulkhead in the cargo area. Remove the fuse panel cover, and look at fuse locations 10, 11 and 12. If those locations have the metal clips present...

First, the Tekonsha harness does feature a higher amp rating (max 5 amps for stop/turn circuits and 7.5 amps for tail lights compared to 3 amps and 6 amps respectively on the Curt), which just offers a stronger system that's able to take a bit more power.
