Solidly built. Easy install. Stabilizes the carrier on the back of my Travel Trailer. I like that it can be installed without removing the carrier from the receiver.

Comments
I have transferred it to a new fifth wheel. It’s still working great. No rattles and it stabilizes the carrier with my generator and e- bike mounted on it thus reducing the bounce load on the hitch.

This is an absolute must for a bike rack. I carry two bikes on the back of my 5th wheel and needed something to minimize rack movement. I Love the simplicity but I love the powder coat finish and vinyl covering.

I have a cargo basket on the back of my suv. I liked it but in addition to the rattle it would sway left and right. I use this vehicle daily and this item was the single most important part of the set up. If you don’t get one, your missing out on stable, quiet operation with your hitch receiver. It’s great!

- e99007
by:

This product is great. I especially recommend it to anyone using their hitch on a unibody construction vehicle. It certainly helped tighten things down which in turn made hauling much quieter.

- e99007
by:

This Anti Rattle Hitch Stabilizer was easy to Install and solved the ball mount rattle noise problem I was experiencing . The design made more sense than other products available to correct ball mount rattle noise .

- e99007
by:

Easy to install and definitely stopped the extender and bike rack from moving. Because the built-in receiver on my Jeep JKs Smittybilt bumper has limited space, I had to install the stabilizer upside down and not per the instructions. However, it worked and stopped the sway.

- e99007
by:

Rattles are gone. Easy to install. Works great. Thank you!!!

- e99007
by:

We pull a trailer with our SUV. It’s pretty noisy with the hitch rattling around in the receiver. This quietened the noise substantially! Great product and well worth the money.

- e99007
by:

Worked as described, keeps my bikes from moving around when traveling. Using this in my trailer hitch box

- e99007
by:

I have yet to use this, I just opened the box BUT I will say it is well built and it will work very well for what it was intended for. I will be using it when I put on my bike rack.

- e99007

The Anti rattle hitch stabilizer Is a great product. My only complaint is it takes an unusual amount of time to get it shipped. It shipped fast once it got to the carrier, but out the door took awhile. I bought two of them. They do what they say.

- e99007
by:

This seems to be a good product. Easy to install. We'll see how it performs. You do realize that to change hitches, you have to remove this product.

- e99007
by:

This is my second order from etrailer and I have been impressed with their products and services. This order arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. It installed in seconds and worked perfect, just as advertised. I would highly recommend it!!

- e99007
by:

This hitch stabilizer is very sturdy and the yellow/black coating on the U brace and Plate not only suppress the rattles, they protect the hardware and hitch from scraping and corrosion. Simple but effective.

- e99007
by:

So I purchased the anti rattle hitch stabilizer in early March to use with a cargo rack, from the quick test I did it seemed to work fine. However I bought it mainly for my hitch to tow my travel trailer, I will not have that result till June. Overall so far this product did seem to work , I am currently purchasing 1 more for other vehicle

- e99007
by:

I've ordered 3 of these. Built tough.

- e99007
by:

I use this to reduce the movement/shake in my bike rack hitch. Easy to install and works great. Like any other device that is subject to vibration over time, you need to check it every once in a while to see if it has begun to come loose, and tighten as needed.

- e99007
by:

I originally purchased the MaxTow Rattle Clamp #MT70283. The clamp worked ok but it was hard to put on and eventually broke. I replaced it with etrailer Anti-Rattle Stabilizer #e99007 pictured above. This works excellent and is very easy to install. Just make sure that the U-Bolt is tight against the receiver top and bottom. I haul my 250 lb snowblower about 25 miles to camp and this rattle stabilizer works great. I would highly recommend this item

- e99007
by:

E trailer delivered like always I bought one of the for my truck and liked so much got another one for my camper. If you are pulling a trailer big improvements no more noise

- e99007
by:

Didn't have clearance to mount it with bolts pointing up on my 2015 Chevy Colorado truck with factory tow package due to clearance issues. I was able to mount it by rotating it 90 degrees. Product was heavy duty and well made.

- e99007
by:

Great price to solve the ever lasting problems of the past which is the bouncing of trailer hitches.

- e99007
by:

I’ve been ordering from etrailer for years. Always exactly the part I order an always on time. Prices are excellent also. Would never shopped anywhere else for my trailer needs

- e99007
by:

Stabilizer is solid and would be perfect , but it does not work for receivers with a "rim" or metal lip around the opening as do most receivers.

Comments
Thank you for your review. This stabilizer does work with a hitch with a collar, lip or metal trim. The stabilizer snugs up between the hitch collar and the shank of the accessory or ball mount in the hitch. Please take a look at the attached video.

Works great. This little guy really stabilizes my cargo carrier such that my wife doesn't mind driving while we carry my bike around with us. Easy, simple solution and it even comes with its own cute wrench.

It sounds like you have a 2-1/2" receiver on your 2016 Ram 2500 and have installed a reducer to fit your 2" accessory, and there is some sway. I have a solution for you. First, though, the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2" Hitches, part # e99007, is not designed to be used with this kind of setup. The U-bolt is 4-1/4 inches tall overall and 2 inches wide on the inside. This should allow for snugging your ball mount into your receiver depending on the reducers used.
