We have exactly what you need to set your 2020 Honda Odyssey up for towing a trailer equipped with electric brakes.
The first thing you will need to do is add a 4-Way trailer wiring harness. For this I highly recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118781 that will plug right into a factory port behind the driver's side trim panel on your Odyssey. This will give you a 4-Way connector that can power a trailer's basic signal lights.
I have attached an install video that you can follow along with.
You will then need to upgrade the 4-Way to a 7-Way connector, for which the Wiring Kit # ETBC7L will work perfectly. This includes the 7-Way harness itself that will plug into the 4-Way, along with the additional wiring needed to activate the required circuits for the brake controller I'm going to recommend.
I have attached a nice detailed video review of the kit as well as the written install manual that you can look through.
Then lastly for the brake controller I highly recommend the Curt Echo # C51180. I really like this unit because of its unique easy-to-use design that requires you to simply plug it directly into the 7-way connector on your van and then pair it to your smart phone via Bluetooth. And that's it. You will use your phone to adjust any settings or activate the manual override so you won't have to mount or wire in an additional component inside the Odyssey's cab like with most other controllers.
The Echo itself then works as a proportional controller, automatically sending power back to the trailer brakes in correspondence with your deceleration. I have a video demonstration on the controller so you can see exactly how it works.
