AJ What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator lights. Now you can put these on a bunch of different accessories we've got them installed on our cargo carrier here today. It's a four-pole that plugs in. And then now you have lights that match your taillights on your cargo carrier or bike rack.
Let's check it out. Take a closer look at them. You see the LED lights here. There's LEDs up on the top layer, and then there's going to be a bottom layer of those. Those are going to come on when we activate our taillights or our hazards.
So we're gonna run through the functions real quick right now we're gonna hit the brake lights first. You see how it lights up a little bit brighter that way, matching the brake lights on your vehicle. Then we can hit the hazards. You don't see that bottom one light up too. You see right there, it's lighting up.
That's going to be the flashing function of it. It's right here as well. It's going to attach via a four pole. So we have our vehicle wiring here, plugged in. And you're gonna get 71 inches of cords.
That's going to be more than enough. You see me kind of bumbled ours up here beside is just for demonstration purposes, but you should have plenty of cord. And if you have access, you can roll that up and tie that off right there like that. Now we've run it down. Our cargo carrier, it's got two points to hook up. It's going to be labeled left and right. And they're even color coded. So we have the blue and the yellow. So of course plugged the yellow and the yellow and the blue into the blue. And it's that easy. We come back out here, we've got both of our lights, like I said, that mark left and right now routing the wire's up to you. We you just kind of used some things just to set up as a demonstration today, you probably want to use more zip ties for more permanent on the backside of the lights. There's also some adhesive double-sided tape. You can peel off and that's what we use to stick it. Now we use electrical tape cause we didn't want to rip off that seal on that tape today. We have them on our cargo carrier today. This is going to apply to bike racks as well. There's a lot of people online and say they don't like that their bikes are covering up their taillights and even a cargo carrier, you can stack your gear up and cover up those lights as well. Now I know that this car care has reflectors on there too, but this is going to work in tandem with your brake lights and your blinkers. So this is going to have that functionality. These are going to be way brighter, pop. That way you're gonna have less to worry about people are going to see when you're stopping or where you're turning because it's on the back of your car carrier or your bike rack the LEDs and the housing are going to be weatherproof So you won't have to worry about the elements, getting to them or damaging them. You're also going to get 24 diodes on the inside. So that's what's going to keep it nice and bright. When setting them up and putting them where you want on your cargo carrier or bike rack I would recommend also getting some wire loom from us just to keep things nice and neat on the other side and protect that wire, Make sure it's not going to be issues with cutting. It's just going to protect it for longer. Overall. I think it's going to be a very helpful thing to have on your car carrier or your bike rack, just because if you're already stacking up full of stuff or you have those bikes loaded people can't see your taillights. I'd be a little worried about that. I want people to know when I'm stopping. So there's no issues. This is going to prevent that. That does it. Thanks for hanging out. And I hope this out..

Auxiliary indicator lights adds visibility and safety to a cargo carrier, bike rack, or other towable accessory. LEDs in each strip correspond with brake, turn, and running lights. Includes 2 light strips, adhesive backing, and wiring harnesses.I bought the lights because with two bikes on my bike carrier the passenger side blinker was pretty obscured. I have a hanging type bike rack, which the lights are not made for but I was able to figure out how to use them, and they work perfectly! I use velcro zip ties so I can take them off and on. On the front tire I zip tie the light to the reflector on the Wheel just make sure you secure the wheel so it doesn't spin while you driving) and on the back I easily zip tie it to the frame of the bike. Now I know when I use my right hand turn signal, I'm being seen which makes me feel a lot safer, especially on the highways.
Built a light bracket for over my bicycle's. The lights worked perfect.
This is the second set of these that I have ordered. It worked so well on my first RV tow behind vehicle - I am going to install them on my new tow behind vehicle. The lights are very visible in the day light and especially at night. This is especially important to me as my RV's tail lights are mounted down low and are not visible from directly behind the tow vehicle when it is being towed. This time I will be mounting them using magnetic strips vise directly attaching them to the tow vehicle just because there is no good location to permanently mount them.
The wiring harness was faulty. I sent an email late in the day on a Thursday and received a phone call that evening asking for more information. The next day, I received an email that the part would be delivered on Monday. Instead of sending just the harness, the sent the entire LED package. Fantastic customer service!!
I drove behind my car with these lights mounted on a bike rack. They are not very bright when signalling and braking. I would not recommend these for daytime use. Visibility at certain angles was poor. I expected a better product from Curt.
Works as advertised.
It's nice to have those extra lights when my bikes on the back partially obscure my brake lights and turn signals.
I hope the adhesive holds up in bad weather.
I had a function issue with the auxiliary lights I put on my bike rack, I reached out to etrailer and they responded within a hour. They were extremely helpful and decided to send replacements, which arrived within a couple of days. I appreciate their quick response and their willingness to immediately send replacements.
I used these to make my bike rack more visible when the bikes are not being carried.
The product is as I expected. It worked perfectly on connection with our 4 pin wiring harness we already have.
I feel more secure knowing that my bike racks won't obscure signal lights for the vehicle. We have the modular Quikr Stuff Mach 2 racks and will likely use zip ties to secure the lights so that it can be adjusted for one rack or to the last rack.
These are great and easy to install on bike racks and other attachments. The wires can be zip tied or wrapped with electrical tape
as needed. Keep in mind some attachments fold to open a lift gate or store. Route the wires away from any possible pinch points to avoid a short or break...wire gauge is very small. Another great purchase from E-trailer.
Added this to my mountain bike rack works perfectly.
In my opinion a clear 5 star ordering experience from beginning to end. High quality product arrived well-packed and exactly as described on company web site - which was easy to navigate. ordering was a breeze, shipping was fast and delivered even faster that I had anticipated. HIGHLY recommend this company and their products.

Very well. Much of the driving is at highway speeds 120 KPH the product stays affixed perfectly, works perfectly and I was actually complimented by a Highway Patrol Officer who said he could clearly see its operation. Still a 5 Star rating!
Works well. Just wish three would be more distance available between lights for wider trailers
These are ideal for the bike rack on vehicle. Since vehicle tail lights are partially covered the exyra lights are a great safety factor.
This was the perfect solution for my bike rack. I put a bike bag over the bikes to keep them out of the weather and was very concerned about night visability of my car. This fixed the problem. I attached the lights to a strap that went around the bag - just remember to tie down the wiring or else the wind will rip it off the lights.
Love your products and service. Very easy to track my orders. So glad I found your website. I found it by watching u-tube videos.
This will be great for my Thule bike rack just what the doctor ordered
The LED lights were a better improvement and better cost than a safety flag with reflective stickers. The LEDs are an extension of the brake light and turning signals. Installation was easy by plugging it to the trailer connection and securing the excess wiring. The color coded connectors made it a cinch to determine the left light from the right light.
We'll see how well the pads stick to the bike rack I attached it to over time. A little more power cord than I need for my application but I'll tuck it up out of the way when transporting bikes. The light works as advertised and shows up well in daylight and night time conditions. A little piece of mind while out on the highway.
Very affordable extra protection for my bike rack! Worth the money and SUPER easy to install
Very useful for additional lights on my bike rack. Bikes carried on the bike rack obscure the tail/directional lights. These lights are quick and convenient as well as providing an extra measure of safety.
The are a great addition to my bike rack to let others know I’m braking or signaling.
Love the lights. I installed them on my bike carrier because I was worried that the bikes would block my brake lights from the cars behind me. I just taped them to the rack in case I want to use them on a cargo rack. Very nice lights. I’m going to buy another pair.
Mounted the lights to my 1UP bicycle rack. When I have a bike cover on, my tail lights are partially blocked. The auxiliary lights add considerable visibility. Installation was simple and quick.
Easy to install. Only thing is that you could have included cable ties.

Still working great! I have it mounted on a removable hitch frame for use on my tow-behind Mazda.
