One of the more popular cooling systems available, the radiator-style, plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster. In addition to the increased surface area, this cooler also features turbulator technology, whereby fluids are agitated continuously, not only to facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure.

Hose could be a little longer for non professionals cutting too short. I would recommend buying extra hose too install. Overall easy too install and works great

The cooler was easy to install, the instruction were easy to follow. I did check the oil temp after pulling a 4000 ft grade pulling a camp trailer with an electronic temp probe and there was a 50 deg temp drop thru the cooler.

Review from a similar Series 9000 in Transmission Coolers

Easy to install and has worked great on my '06 4Runner v6. A little extra piece of mind for the mountains. This size just barely fits on the passenger side of the radiator - there is a central, vertical support bar behind the grill that prevents a wider cooler from fitting.

We do carry a variety of Derale Transmission Coolers for your 2007 Chevy Tahoe. If you are looking for a class I Plate-Fin cooler, here it is # D13611. If you need a class II get the Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Cooler # D12906. There is a class III Plate-Fin available too, part # D13503 and also a class IV Tube-Fin # D12904. The difference between the Plate-Fin and Tube-Fin style is that the plate and fin models can cool better than the tube and fin models. Also, the higher the Class of...

I'll start this off by saying that you should always consult your owner's manual when looking for exact specs in regards to your vehicle's capabilities and capacities, but from what I was able to determine from my research, the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Trailhawk trim has a towing capacity of 5000-lbs (based on it being a V6 3.6L engine). Without knowing the specific model of Forest River R-pod trailer you have, I can't tell you the precise weight of that but they generally have a...

  • Which Transmission Cooler is Recommended for a 2005 Honda Pilot
Mounting a trans cooler in front of everything else, radiator and AC condenser, will yield the most cooling ability. The size of the heat exchanger is the factor that weighs most heavily on the cooling ability followed by location and construction/design. The best way to select a cooler is by considering the load you will be towing and the area you will be towing in. The cooler needed to aid in towing a single jet ski in a cool or moderate climate would not be nearly as big as the cooler...

This fan measures 11" wide x 3-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep to provide the correct fit on your vehicles. • Which Transmission Cooler for 2005 Nissan Frontier
The best place to install a transmission cooler is directly behind the grille, in front of the radiator and A/C condenser. We recommend choosing the largest cooler that will fit in the space available, so you will need to measure to see how much room you have. You cannot over cool a transmission. The # D13503, which measures 11x8-3/4x7/8 inches is what I would recommend, assuming that there is enough room behind the grille. You might need to remove the grill and front bumper cover in...

I looked up an online version of your 2004 Honda Pilot's owner's manual and it states that additional transmission and power steering coolers are required to tow. It also states that a trailer that weighs 1,000 pounds or more should have its own operating brakes. I've attached an article on coolers that you might like. • Comparing Different Types of Transmission Coolers for a 2006 Subaru Outback Wagon
The reason you do not see any cooling capacity figures for a transmission cooler is because there are just too many variables at hand to give any sort of accurate estimates. These variables have to do with ambient temperature, mounting location, etc. That said, there is a way to compare the coolers and that is by their construction; tube-and-fin (least efficient), plate-and-fin (moderately efficient), stacked-plate (most effective). Sealed transmissions make installing a transmission cooler a bit more interesting since there isn't an easy way to add or check fluid. There may not be a dipstick on your transmission, but there is drain and fill plug.
