Question:
Greetings. Just looking for the right trailer harness 4-way for my 2019 Odyssey and see a couple that look about the same - the curt c56382 and tekonsha 118781. just want to see if there's any reason i should go with one over the other? Thanks for your advice.

Expert Reply:
Both the Tekonsha T-One # 118781 and Curt T-Connector # C56382 are custom trailer wiring harnesses confirmed to fit your 2019 Honda Odyssey, but I do recommend the Tekonsha # 118781 for a couple reasons.
First, the Tekonsha harness does feature a higher amp rating (max 5 amps for stop/turn circuits and 7.5 amps for tail lights compared to 3 amps and 6 amps respectively on the Curt), which just offers a stronger system that's able to take a bit more power.
In addition to the higher amp rating, Tekonsha's converter boxes just have a much better reputation than what Curt uses and in turn tend to last much longer.
The T-One harness is going to simply plug into a built-in port behind the driver's side trim panel of your Odyssey for a completely plug-and-play installation. I have attached an installation video that you can also use for reference.
