RV Steps with pull-out for truck campers
Get solid footing on your rig with RV steps for a truck camper that use a pull-out design. These mount to a vertical surface on the bumper or just under the door, and options include removable pin mounts, ground-contact support, and adjustable feet for uneven campsites. Pick the step count and mounting spot that match your height so they fold and store how you want, whether left on or removed for travel.
It's recommended to remove and store them during travel. If you choose to keep them on, secure the steps so they don't open, using a method that keeps them closed firmly. The pin-on design makes removal quick when you prefer to take them off.
Look for steps with direct ground contact to reduce flex when climbing in and out. Add optional adjustable feet or leg levelers to keep the steps level and planted on uneven ground. Treads with good grip and glow strips can help with traction and visibility in low light.
Match the step count to your camper's mounting height so the steps reach the ground with a comfortable rise. If the spacing feels too tall, an add-on step can fine-tune the setup. On uneven terrain, adjustable feet help level the steps and keep them in place.
These mount to a vertical surface, like the bumper face or under the door. An opening behind the bumper isn't required, but if you mount on the bumper they will hang down off the rear. Some campers already have a mounting bracket; if yours doesn't, plan to attach the bracket and use the two pins. If your hardware includes fish wire, confirm it's long enough for your layout and extend if needed.
