It’s a perfect solution for anyone who values a straightforward, hassle-free installation process, especially when time is of the essence. Simply plug and play, and you’ll be ready to hit the road in no time.

Enhanced Safety Features: ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

Ensure your trailer's signal lights work correctly with this enhanced feature. The built-in ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter technology efficiently merges your vehicle’s three-wire system signals into a two-wire trailer system, without affecting your vehicle’s lighting operation. It draws power directly from the battery, avoiding strain on the vehicle’s tail light circuits, ensuring consistent and reliable operation.

Custom Fit Design: Tailored for Your Vehicle

Designed specifically for vehicles like the Honda Odyssey, this harness takes customization to the next level. It neatly fits behind the driver’s-side interior trim panel in your vehicle's cargo area. This tailored design ensures an unobtrusive installation, keeping your vehicle’s aesthetic intact while providing the function you need to tow a trailer seamlessly.

Dependable Performance: Heavy-Duty Construction

Constructed from durable, 16-gauge bonded wire, this wiring harness is built to withstand the rigors of towing. It even comes with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector, offering additional protection against the elements and prolonging the lifespan of the harness. This durability makes it a reliable companion for all your towing needs, regardless of the season or weather conditions.

Maximized Versatility: Compatibility with Multiple Adapters

Whether your trailer uses a 4-pole, 5-pole, 6-pole, or 7-pole connection, this wiring harness has you covered. Compatible with various adapters (available separately), it offers flexibility for different towing scenarios, ensuring you're always prepared, whether towing a basic utility trailer or a more complex setup with additional braking and lighting features.

Installation Information

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, open your fuse box and locate the fuse positions indicated in the instructions. Then insert the included fuses.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector can be stored in an out of the way area of the cargo area of your vehicle when not in use.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter Details

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights.

With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Note

This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

Put it in my 2011 Honda Odyssey touring edition van, very easy to install takes about 30 minutes and the video is priceless. Highly recommended. etrailer is the place to buy your trailer products.

Very easy to install. The hardest part was removing the threshold to gain access. Just gentry pry up the top lip to loosen the fasteners and lift up.
Just follow the instructions for wiring and it is complete.

2011 Honda Odyssey

The installation on my 2011 Honda Odyssey was simple. Most of the time was spent anxiously and carefully removing the plastic panels. I fully removed the rear cargo area panel and was able to partially detach the driver side cargo panel and pull it out enough to route the wires. The actual wiring was a snap. I didn't measure the "4 way" wire, but it was not very long. I was routing the wire out the factory grommet under the rear cargo panel. The wiring on this harness made it about to that point. I had some leftover "4 way" wire from another project, so I spliced it together inside the vehicle and routed it out and down behind the bumper. If you plan on using this same routing path, I'd recommend drilling a hole (or other alteration) in the bumper before installing the hitch.

Installed a new Draw-Tite Class III hitch on my 2012 Honda Odyssey, took me 30 minutes, no jack-up of vehicle required, no removeing or relocating of exhaust, hitch lined up perfect for quick bolt-up to frame, one man job. All so installed T-One connector trailer wiring harness very easy to install, no hard wiring, simple plug-in socket.'s to vehicle existing power panel. Even your WIFE could install this unit. Instruction's explain everything you require. Recomended 100%

2011 Honda Odyssey

Works great, easy install. The only trick was I had to route the wire horizontally back from the fuse box rather than diagonally downward since there was nowhere to put the black box otherwise.

by:
Honda Odyssey

I've installed one your harnesses in an Outback, a Chevy Sonic and now my Honda Odyssey. The Odyssey was the most difficult to install because of getting access behind the coverings to route the wiring but the wiring plugged in easily and works well.

by:

The order was right it fit good and was on time. It could have been packed better the box was badly busted and the paint was chipped a little but overall pretty good

This Tekonsha T-one harness with control module really works great, is super easy to install and you can't beat the price at etrailer.

But because of a problem I had with water ingress into the control box, I wanted to share with potential buyers a different mounting solution that will avoid what happened to me.

I initially installed one of these 3 years ago in our 2013 Odyssey along with a new vehicle side connector. It worked great until last fall when our trailer lights started doing strange things. Thinking this was a ground fault I disassembled the connector and cleaned all the contacts, but it didn't solve the problem. Then I installed a brand new connector, but I still had the same problem.
Then I retraced the T-one harness and found the control module full of water and the circuit board fried of course. I installed it in a way that it was hanging down into the cavity behind the interior panel (much like another customer here shows it in his photos). Somehow, water was able to find it's way in it.
Now I installed a new Tekonsha T-one harness and everything is working great again, but I chose a different location for the control box. I used double sided tape to glue it onto the upper compartment of the interior panel. This way it will hopefully not be exposed to any water that might drip down. It is also angled slightly upward, so that any moisture should drip off instead of running into it.
The harness is long enough to allow for this with the exception of the ground cable. But a 12" extension will do the trick. I hope the photos are clear enough to show all this.

Hopefully someone finds this information useful.

2012 Honda Odyssey

The customer service was great! Both Teresa J and Odelia were very kind and helpful. They seemed to to be in good spirits and enjoy their jobs. They helped me with my order and my concerns. The draw tite hitch was easy to put on. You will need help lifting it in place since it is heavy. The video on how to install it on a 2012 Honda Odyssey was very helpful although I did need to unscrew 3 additional screws holding the bottom cover to the mud flap. I was a little concerned to find that the hitch had a few scratches and scrapes on a corner. I called and Odelia had advised me that it is not uncommon since the products arrive to their location unpackaged and piled on one another. I decided to keep it and just paint the corner with rustolium spray paint. Overall the product looks good and seems to be of good quality.
The wiring harness was easy to put on. The video was spot on.
The videos for both products are extremely helpful.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Right Stop/Turn Signal not Functioning on a 2011 Honda Odyssey 4-Way
The first place I would check is the rear fuse panel on your 2011 Honda Odyssey. It sounds like you blew a fuse so checking the condition of the fuses required to install the Tow Ready Wiring Harness part # 118521 is a logical solution. You will want to check the condition of the 10 amp fuse that's in the number 8 position of the rear fuse box as well as the 7.5 amp fuses in the number 2 and 11 position. Fast forward to the 2:00 minute mark of the video I attached to see where these fuses...

I took a look at the owner's manual of your 2017 Honda Odyssey and it mentions that with two passengers you can tow up to 3,500 lbs, which from my research looked to be the GVWR - or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating - of the 2018 Airstream Sport 16. With that in mind there are a number of components you will need, starting with a hitch.
