11" Wide x 7-1/4" tall x 7/8" deep, efficient heat exchanger will prolong the life of your transmission and improve its overall performance. Specifically designed for vehicles with late-model, electronic overdrive transmissions.

Features:

  • Prolongs life of transmission
  • Improves overall performance
  • Prevents heat-related failures
  • Has furnace-brazed aluminum construction and 3/4" wide turbulator plates for more efficient cooling
  • Includes complete mounting kit, OEM spec hose with stainless steel clamps and Insta-dapt radiator adapter
  • Recommended for mid-size cars, trucks and SUVs

Specs:

  • Inlets: 11/32" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 11" wide x 7-1/4" tall x 7/8" deep
  • Distance between inlets: 10-1/4"
  • Mounting dimensions: 6-1/8" tall by either 5-1/4" or 6-3/4" wide
  • 1-Year warranty

Note: The Derale Insta-dapt radiator adapter fits most vehicles with 5/16" transmission lines, but not all. In some cases, additional fittings or alteration of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for installation.

One of the more popular cooling systems available, the radiator-style, plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster. In addition to the increased surface area, this cooler also features turbulator technology, whereby fluids are agitated continuously, not only to facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure.

  • Trailer Hitch, Wiring, and Brake Controller for a 2007 Honda Odyssey
Yes, I will be happy to help add tow options to your 2007 Honda Odyssey. First you will need Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75270. This hitch has a maximum tongue weight rating up to 675 lbs and gross trailer weight rating up to 4,500 lbs. If the towing capacity in your Odyssey owner's manual is lower that the capacity of this hitch, tow according to the weight limits in your manual. There is no drilling required for installation. Next, you will need 4-way Flat Trailer Connector...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler For 2011 Chrysler Town And Country
We have a few transmission coolers that are designed to fit your 2010 Chrysler Town And Country. The Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13502 is a plate-fin cooler that may be just what you are looking for. The biggest concern when installing coolers is the location and whether there is room for the installation. This cooler measures 11 inches wide x 7-1/4 inches tall x 7/8 inch deep. I have attached a drawing that shows the best location to mount a cooler. I have attached links to a...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2009 Chevy Impala
A transmission cooler will help prolong the life of any automatic transmission so installing one in your 2009 Chevy Impala would be a great choice. The Derale # D13502 would be a great choice that would work well. These kits are universal so while it may not have parts that are specific to your vehicle the install is basically the same for all vehicles. I attached an install video that shows a cooler installed on a similar Chevy as yours as well.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 1997 Honda CRV with Best Cooling and Ease of Installation
I would recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13502, for your 1997 Honda CRV. This cooler will be more than adequate for towing the weights you will be towing. You can not cool transmission fluid too much so the larger the cooler is, the better. We have a video installation of this cooler on a 2006 Honda CR-V that will be very similar to the installation on your 1997 model, see link. If you would like a smaller cooler you could go with the Derale Series...

I did some checking and it looks like the Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Adjustable Sandwich Adapter # D15505 will work on your 2004 Ford Escape. From the research I did the threads on the oil filter are 22 x 1.5 mm and the # D15505 comes with that size so it should work very well for you. I attached an FAQ article on oil coolers for you to check out also.

When comparing the Flex-a-lite Transmission Cooler # FLX400117 to the similar Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler # D13502, there are very few differences between them. Both have an aluminum construction, include all hardware needed, and are Plate-Fin style coolers. This is where the main difference is though. The Derale # D13502 will have 14 rows and the Flex-A-Lite # FLX400117 will have 17 rows. The only other main difference between them is that Derale uses a thermal paint coating...

Hello Paul, Definitely a good idea to keep your transmission cooled while pulling a 38' 5th wheel. • Best Transmission Cooler for 2020 Toyota Tundra With 5.7L V8 Engine
The best transmission cooler for your 2020 Toyota Tundra with a 5.7L V8 engine is the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler # D13502. The reason this is the best cooler is because the Series 8000 is a plate-and-fin cooler, which means it uses smaller plates that cover more area than other coolers in order to agitate transmission fluid in your Toyota. Because you cannot over-cool fluids, the rule of thumb with transmission coolers is that size matters so the large 11" wide x 7-1/4" tall...

  • Transmission and Power Steering Coolers for 2015 Jeep Patriot
The 2015 Jeep Patriot with either 2.0L or 2.4L engine does have a towing capacity of 1000-lbs; the 2.4L models with the Trailer Tow Prep Package (AHC) or the Freedom Drive II Off Road Package (AWL) can tow up to 2000-lbs trailer weight. You can see these towing specs in the page from the owner's manual (page 179) that I linked for you. Towing capacity for any vehicle is determined by the auto maker and adding aftermarket products does not increase it. Installing a hitch with a higher rating,...

  • What is Meant by the Different Classes of Transmission Coolers
Transmission and oil coolers are given class designations since we are in the towing business and those who tow are used to seeing class designations on hitches, ball mounts, etc. The idea is to give a general idea of the cooler's capacity, so if your vehicle has a class III hitch then a class III cooler should be fine. However, since coolers are NOT vehicle-specific you can use as large a cooler as you have space to mount it. There are various types of coolers and they can be either...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler and Hitch for 2019 Kia Sorento LX V6 2WD
The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lower of the weight capacities for your vehicle and the hitch that is installed on it. So if the weight capacity of your vehicle is lower, that will be the limiting factor. The towing capacity won't be changed by the weight of any passengers or cargo in your tow vehicle. According to the owner's manual for your 2019 Kia Sorento, if you have the 2.4L or 3.3L engine without trailer brakes, you can tow up to 1,650 lbs, or 2,000 lbs with trailer...
