What's up everybody it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're checking out the Titan Chain; Mid Link. Now what this does is it helps extend an existing chain you have on your trailer. So you don't have to buy a new one. Or if you we're to break a link and you wanted to keep using that chain, we could just get rid of the broken link, add this in between and your chain is still usable. Let's take a closer look at it.I went ahead and removed the hook from our five sixteens chain here to show you what would it be like to extend the chain, or like I said earlier, if one of these links we're to break you'd go to where it broke, take out the weak link and then add this from there.
So let's pretend that's here. There, remove the counter pin. And then the inaudible 00:00:40 been like. Take chain, put it back in. At our clevis pin and then our counter pin.Now you have an extended chain that'll help you reach whatever you need to.
Looking at our Mid Link it does stand out a little bit differently from the rest of the chain, but it is a grade 70, just like this hook is just like the chain is. So it's going to hold up when you have it in here. And it's also plated, so it will not corrode or rust when you leave it out in the elements. So that's another thing you don't have to worry about with it.Our Mid Link here has a safe working load limit of 6,200. Then also has a breaking point limit of 18,800.
Hopefully I showed you how great of a solution this is. If you have a broken chain or just want to use two of the existing chains you have to extend it. This is going to work really well. It was really easy to install and it sturdy. I can pull on it, easily so it's not going to be movable.
It's not going to fail on me. It's even sturdier than it was before. So I think it does it for our look at the Titan Chains, Mid Link. I hope this help..
