It looks like from reading the matierl if one is using the cooler in series with the factory cooler this adapter is not needed. Thus I would like to return, but I fear the shipping cost will not make sense, dollar wise... Thus the recommendation should state if you are adding a cooler to your system where one does not already exist, then you'll need this adapter. So if your adding to an already existing system, you do not need the adapter. 23007

Do you have a question about this Accessories and Part?

  • Recommended Transmission Fluid and Engine Oil Cooler for a 2013 Chevrolet Express Van 3500
  • I have exactly what you will need to keep both the engine oil and transmission fluid cool in your 2013 Chevrolet Express Van 3500 but a remote cooler will not be necessary. Instead, I recommend using the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler part # D15902. As long as you have at least 17" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep of space to mount the cooler behind your grille and in front of your radiator/condenser then it will work well for you. You can expect a drop in engine oil...

  • Best Transmission Cooler for a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD with 6.0L V8 Engine
  • For your 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD with the 6.0L V8 engine, I highly recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13504. This 8000 series cooler measures 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep which will be a good fit for your truck. You can expect temperature drops anywhere from 20-30 degrees fahrenheit while using this cooler which will dramatically increase the life of your transmission. Installation is very simple as you can see in the attached video but you will...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 6.2L V8 Engine
  • I spoke to my contact at Derale about adding a transmission cooler to your 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 6.2L V8 engine and they informed me that there should be no problem using one so long as you install it after the factory transmission cooler. I cannot confirm what your truck was or was not equipped with but its sounds like you are referring to a bypass function that reroutes the transmission fluid from the cooler until it reaches a certain temperature. Unfortunately, there would...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2007 Cadillac Escalade
  • The great news is that we do have transmission coolers to help you out. You will have to do some measuring in your engine though to see what will fit. Transmission coolers are universal fit so there is no "exact" fit for your 2007 Cadillac Escalade with a 6.2L V8 Engine. There is a little more into selecting the best transmission cooler than what the size of it is. I am attaching a helpful article that goes over the different kinds of coolers and what their advantages are. One of...

  • Can Derale Dyno-Cool Remote Cooler Mount in Front of Radiator in 2010 Chevy Silverado
  • As stated by Derale in the instructions of the Derale Dyno-Cool Remote Cooler with Fan and AN Inlets # D12733, "The purpose of a remote mount cooler is to be able to mount the cooler away from the front of the vehicle therefore not blocking airflow to the radiator/condenser. This cooler can be mounted anywhere space permits." If you are going to be adding a transmission cooler in front of your radiator I instead recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13503,...

  • Can I Replace The Factory Transmission Cooler on a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado
  • In regards to your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, if you will be removing the auxiliary transmission cooler then I recommend using the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13614 to replace it. This cooler measures 11" wide x 11-3/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep which you should have plenty of space for. In general we recommend that you install the supplemental transmission cooler in-line the factory transmission cooler (in radiator) and the auxiliary transmission cooler (behind...

  • Fitting Adapter Needed to Install Remote Derale Transmission Cooler in 2004 Chevy Silverado
  • The correct fitting for installing a Derale transmission cooler in your 2004 Chevy Silverado is the part # D13018 to install the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler # D13960. This cooler has a thermostat as well. You would want to route this from your current radiator's transmission cooler so that it goes through the factory cooler and then finally to this cooler. That is what the fitting allows you to easily do.

  • For your 2011 Chevrolet Express Van 1500, I recommend going with the Derale Transmission Cooler # D13503 along with the Radiator Adapter Fitting # D13018. The fitting will allow you to quickly and easily install the transmission cooler without having to cut or flare the lines. This transmission cooler measures 11 inches wide, 8-3/4 inches tall and 7/8 inches deep. This is a great plate-fin cooler that will prolong the life of your transmission and improve its overall performance. When...

It is 11" wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep. For your specific application, I recommend a plate-fin cooler like the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV - Efficient, # D13504. You will not need a longer filter or spacer when using this pan cooler. In fact this transmission pan cooler fits most 1982-1999 model 4L60Es. If you will be towing a light load, less than 2000lbs, in flat driving conditions, your 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 5.7L will do fine with a class I rated cooler. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
