Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed, 2-Speed Trailer Winch with Adjustable Handle - 3,200 lbs - FW32000101

I added the Fulton F2 to my 1994 Mastercraft Prostar Trailer and it fit beautifully, and with room to spare. People may say that a 3,200 lbs pulling winch is overkill for a boat whose dry weight is 2,600 lbs but I live on a lake with a terribly steep ramp, so I usually need to finish cranking her up while on land so, I naturally, I needed a little more oomph! Note that when the drum is full, all winch's pulling capacity decrease. The F2 has a pulling capacity of 1,600 lbs when the drum is full, which is usually where I need the power - to move the boat that last 12".

The gears come pre-lubricated, since it's an enclosed design with hefty cast aluminum, I see why this winch has a lifetime warranty; it's built to last. In my opinion, the double hub design just makes sense. Usually I want to leave my boat in the lake as long as possible, now I can't wait to take it out just so I can try this winch.

Its still working like a charm! However, I was surprised to see a little rust forming near an edge of the housing. It cant be the aluminum housing, so there must be some internal components that are not waterproof resistent.

Received excellent service from Pat and Jameson at I had several questions when looking for a replacement winch for my boat trailer. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The order was received on time and was of the quality I anticipated.

Works great! One less this to worry about when loading the boat.
Jim H - 10/30/2020

A big improvement over the 1500 lbs winch that was equipped on my trailer. Well built, quality product that does a fantastic job of getting my 19 foot deep vee those last couple feet onto the trailer.

Still does the job. Boat was terrible to load without it.
Jules - 12/19/2021

Ordered this winch for my 19' triton bass boat. The previous winch had stripped its gears while pulling this fairly heavy boat onto the bunk trailer. It was always a beastly job to do! Decided to give the 3200# two speed winch a try. As with all previous orders from etrailer, they did not disappoint. Product came on time and seemed well built. Install went well. Mount holes lined up o.k. thanks to the adjustable slot grooves on the winch. Product works great. As with other comments reviewers made, I too did notice winch strap pulls out hard when getting ready to load boat onto trailer. Simply switched to the high gear and pulled out fine. After dealing with a broken, undersized winch, this product works as advertised and will be way easier on my ageing back for sure. Thanks etrailer and Fulton for another job well done!

What a great 2 speed winch! Some might say this size winch is not needed for a bass boat, but I can tell you it easily does the job on those tough launch ramps. The 2 speed feature always you to change the gearing to ease the loading process.

Its been 1 year and this winch operates as it did the first time after I installed it on my RangerTrail trailer. This winch will not let you down and itll make your life a little easier.
Bill M - 12/12/2020

Although I have not yet used the winch as of yet, just installed it yesterday, I like the look and construction of the product. The two speed option will be of use on the steeper ramps when pulling the boat up the last few feet to the bow stop when you really start to feel the weight of the boat. I had to move the mounting position of the unit due to the size of the winch body. I drilled two new holes to be able to mount it without interference. There was enough adjustment in the third hole so that I did not need to relocate. It matches nicely with the Fulton F2 tongue jack. E-trailer service and delivery were great. Great communication and shipped product quickly. I will definitely consider E trailer for my next trailer parts purchase.

e-trailer got this to me in one day! Thank you!

Excellent winch.
I replaced an original Fulton winch on my 8 year old MC boat trailer. It was rated at 1300 lbs. and was adequate. When the pawl for the small gear broke, leaving it useless, it was time for new.

I thought this 2 speed F2 would be overkill for my application, but I'm very glad I made this choice. I didn't realize how hard I was working with that old winch. This winch makes it almost effortless. It works smoothly, has a nice clean look, and has no traditional pawl to break.

Of course we'll have to see how it holds up once THIS one is 8 years old. :)

Note: The rating of 3200 lbs. is a bit misleading. The side of the housing is marked saying it's rated at 3200 lbs. first layer, and 1600 lbs. with a full drum. I guess that means the more you strap wind in, the less pulling it can handle.

The Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed 2-speed Trailer Winch with adjustable handle- 3200lbs. Replaced my Fulton XLT 1401 Max. Line pull 1400lbs., on my Ranger 520X bass boat and it fit like a glove. Their was some question weather I could up grade to the New Fulton 3200 lb. 2-speed winch, but it fit perfect. The pulling power of this new winch is exactly what I was looking for, thank you Chris W. for all your patience and time you spent with me on the phone at the time of purchase.

Just got the 3200 winch and 1600 trailer jack installed on my trailer and if these products work half as good as they look I will be completely happy with my purchase. Only thing I can say as of now is I wish I would of upgraded sooner.

I have run salmon and walleye boats for over 30 years now. Bought the F2 to replace the factory winch that was on my new Alumacraft 205's trailer. Spend the extra bucks on this product! Wish I was smart enough to have purchased the F2 when they hit the market.

Excellent product. Very sturdy and easy to use. With the lower gearing it allows you the pull the boat snug after you get to the top of the ramp when it doesn't seat just right the first time. And I would recommend spending the extra money on this unit versus others that are not fully enclosed. Installed on my trailer for my 2000 Moomba ski boat. Boat weight is 2450 lbs dry so close to 3,000 with gas, ski equipment, and other gear.

One year later and I am very happy with the winch. The lower gear is excellent for pulling the boat that last 2 inches up to the stop.
Bob B - 10/24/2017

awesome product piece of cake to install. it pulls my 32 foot Baja onto its trailer with ease. And E- trailer's shipping is fast almost as fast as my Baja...I said almost!! thanks everyone you will have my business again.

Very happy with the winch and how it operates. The only challange I had was having to re drill the holes to mount it because of the way my old winch was mounted. The rounded area on the front of the new winch was hitting the trailer winch post so I had to take a small amount of the metal off and shift it back. Great product.

this thing is massive!! had to modify the mount a bit but was super easy to install. pretty straight forward. will be testing it out soon .

This winch seems to work fine except for one MAJOR flaw: The strap won't easily pay out when you switch the mode to neutral. In HIGH gear, it requires a lot of force to pull the strap out (i.e. to get it hooked onto the boat when the boat is several feet away from the winch) as compared with other winches I have used. In LOW gear, I found it *impossible* to pull hard enough to pull the strap out.

I will continue to use it, but I am pretty disappointed in this "feature".

As of January 2013, Neutral option has been disengaged for safety reasons. In low speed the handle turns 16 times to 1 drum revolution.

Unfortunately, this unit does not fit my trailer. The mounting bolt pattern is only about 2 1/4" wide for the forward bolts, but my trailer requires about 2 3/4" wide. Unfortunately, the spec for the winch did not specify the bolt pattern, so I mistakenly assumed the hole patterns are pretty standard. I will need to return this unit.

The industry standard mounting pattern is basically a triangle-shaped bolt pattern. The two bolts at the bottom are 2-1/4 inches apart on center. The top bolt is 4-1/2 inches from either bottom bolt on center.

Great to work with, order easy, shipped and delivered on time, product is as described functional and looks great too!

Product was easy to install. A lot beefier than the original one. Great replacement for my 2007 Ranger Z-22.

Winch is for trailer for 5000 lb. boat and motor. Although spec'd to fit standard winch mounts, I had to drill 2 new holes in my mount, well know trailer maker. Winch appears to be built do the job. Pulled the boat one time, but time will tell. I asked for appropriate winch cover and ordered UF # 38-944020, which agrees with what I received. However dimensions are not as shown on the order. Ordered 12" x 14.5" and received 10.5" x 13.75". Does not fit nicely and not worth hassle of returning. Winch looks nice sitting on the trailer.

I chose it as my previous winch broke as it was not powerful enough. It was a Fulton 1800T. It was fine if I could get the boat trailer deep enough in the water when backing down the ramp. It was always hard to winch my Four Winns 22ss the last foot on the carpet rails. This winch is much more powerful and does the job. It was easy to install as it fit into the existing holes made for the previous winch. I would recommend this winch. There is no neutral so watch the winch handle when letting out the strap.

I use this winch to dry launch my Maverick 18 HPX-V skiff. Plenty of power in high or low gear to get it up the trailer. Subtracted one star because the clip on the strap hook broke after six months of use, otherwise excellent.

I received the 3200 winch yesterday (7-29-13) . Everything was there and looked good. Installation was very easy, everything lined up nicely and fell right into place. Winch was put on a ranger trail trailer with carpeted bunks. The boat was about 6-8 inches from the roller due to the other winch breaking. That distance doesn't sound like a long ways to go, but with the other winch it seemed like a mile. The 3200 pulled it the rest of the way with ease on dry bunks. I couldn't be any happier with the way the transaction went with etrailer. I your looking for a good, well built product, try the Fulton 3200. You won't be sorry.

Mounted this on my 2009 Ranger Trail and it fit perfectly using the factory holes for the old winch. I have to deal with a very shallow ramp to access the Pamlico RIver where I live and the Fulton F2 pulls my 20 ft Z520 bass boat (a very heavy boat) onto the trailer with no problem.

Etrailer provided fast delivery as well. I recommend this F2 winch and without reservation.

Great winch. However, installation was a bit difficult as my previous winch had 2 bolts front to back. After a call to e-trailer, they confirmed that I could use 2 bolts. I then needed to change the nut and bolt adding a large washer to cover the large hole and a lock washer below. Getting the bolt and washer into the housing was the difficult part but I was eventually successful.
Will be using the winch at the end of the month and can verify performance then.

I have a 29, Regal boat about 5000lbs dry weight this winch preforms excellent for loading it on to the trailer.

This winch has not missed a beat works very well with my boat!

  • Hard to Turn Knob of Fulton F2 Trailer Winch
The knob on the Fulton F2 winch, # FW32000101, can be hard to turn. What makes it more difficult is when there is a load on it. You would want it to be harder to turn when there is a load on it though so that you do not accidentally go to neutral. I always found that I have to pull out on the knob and turn it to get it to turn more easily.

Generally when picking out a winch for a boat trailer the ratio is 2 to 1 meaning you would need a winch with roughly half the capacity as the weight of the boat.
