Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Winch - Standard Winch 1400lbs - e75VV

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Boat Trailer Winch with a 23 foot strap, 10 and a half inch long handle, rated at 1,400 pounds. So folks, this is a ratcheting hand winch. It's gonna let you load your boat onto your trailer. Simply connect the spring loaded hook here with the strap to the front end of the boat on the hook side where it's at to safely tow it up, and you would simply crank it forward or back depending on what you need.

Now, right now I've got it in free spin, meaning I can go forward or back and it's not clicking or engaging. Now I can move this lever and then engage it. And I can flip it back the other way to then go to reverse. So if I want to go in reverse and pull the strap in, or again, go back the other way to let it out safely and slowly. That way, your boat doesn't go flying off of the trailer.

And again, you got a little spring lever here. I can put that right here in the center. And then that'll allow me to go into a free spool mode, just like that. So again, the strap is 23 feet long overall, and it's two inches wide. The handle is 10 and a half inches from end to the end.

And the base here, let's get some quick dimensions. Overall, I got six inches long by three and seven eights inches wide. Now as you can see, these holes are oblong, and that's gonna make it a lot easier for if your mouth is in place. You'll be able to move it around and get it precise. So again, it's gotta fit a lot of different applications out there.

It should work with pretty much anything you got because of those elongated holes. But I always tell people, just double check that measurement I gave you and make sure you got the space needed. The gear ratio, if you're curious, is a 4.1 to 1. And the weight capacity, again, is a 1400 pound capacity. Now it is a rust resistant zinc finish, and it has this thumb lock. Like I said, you can lock it in place. That way, it doesn't go either way whenever you're getting your boat out off the trailer or getting the boat back into the trailer. And the handle here is a nice, hard plastic. Very nice, comfortable. Makes cranking easy because it spins inside your hand while you're cranking. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at this Boat Trailer Winch. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
