The ratchet helps with controlled cranking and smooth operation when inching a hull to the bow stop or easing equipment onto a trailer. Winch stands are pretty universal, but you may need small mounting tweaks, and slotted holes can help with alignment.
Check clearance for any front cover and the handle; tight cowlings or long handles can interfere on some trailers. Make sure bolt orientation won't rub the strap. Verify the hook size matches your bow eye. If you're around salt or wet storage, look for corrosion resistance to help it look good a year later. Confirm the ratchet direction works for your over- or under-wrap.
Pick a capacity that's at least 1/3 of your boat's weight. If you're near the limit, a two-speed with a strong low gear makes pulling to the bow roller much easier.
