Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Boat Trailer Winch, rated at 1,400 pounds capacity. Now folks, this is a ratcheting hand winch, as we call it. So you got a nice 10 and a half inch long handle here. You simply take off this retainer nut, put this guy on, and then put that guy on last, and then that would give you your handle.
I'm gonna go ahead and leave it off today for demonstration purposes and space restraints. Now that handle has a nice, ergonomic black plastic in here that rolls around freely, so when you're cranking, you're not gonna lose momentum and get caught up or anything. The winch itself is a solid one piece gear for maximum durability. You can see you've got a spring loaded catch here. You can go forward or back.
And if you put it in the middle, you can technically free spool in or out as needed. And it's made of a rust-resistant zinc finish plate on the outside. And again, you get the handle included. Now what you don't get that you're gonna need to get separately and you can get that here to etrailer.com, you're gonna either need a strap or a cable to put in there and get it installed. So again, once you've got that locked in place one direction, it can only go the one direction and lock out until you flip that to go the other direction.
Now again, it is 1,400 pounds capacity overall. The gear ratio, if you're curious, is a 4.1 to 1. And let's get some quick dimensions on the bottom mounting plate here. So overall, I got six inches. And as far as our height here, or width rather on that, I got about three and seven eighth inches wide.
And as you can see, you've got oblonged holes here, here, and here. And that's for whenever your mounting this on your trailer. You can go side to side a little bit and then forward and back. Now based on the measurements I gave you on the plate, you should be able to match that up with your trailer with no problem. It's a standard kind of design there, if you will, as far as winches and boat trailers and that as far as how they mount up in there, and those oblong get holes or any of that space you need to go side to side and up and down and get that mounted for you. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up. Just a quick look at our Boat Trailer Winch, again, rated at 1,400 pounds. Strap or cable sold separately. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching, and stay safe on the water.
I give y'all "5 stars", for my purchase of a 600# rating boat trailer winch and trailer 3" bow roller. Not seeing mounting instructions for the trailer winch, I initially installed the mount bolts from the outside, in. After realizing the mount bolts would contact the winch belt, I disassembled the winch assembly to correctly install the mount bolts. My bad. Missed seeing this precaution in the instructions.
