This Dutton-Lainson industrial winch is designed for standard-duty vertical lifting operations. Crank handle clockwise to lift the load, counter-clockwise to lower the load. Automatic brake stops the load when hand cranking stops. Left-side handle.

Its been in operation for a year and still working out great! Brake holds winch from spinning out of control - just remember to turn the handle two clicks to set the brake after each use.

Winch is great absolutly strong. I went with an oversize model to get a lower gear ratio which makes raising my boat much easier to lift. I think this winch will outlast me.

In this world you definitely get what you pay for, glad you got one that is going to last Lawrence! Transporting safes by boat, very interesting job. I am curious to where you are delivering them to? An island, other boats, houses on the lake?

Still working great. I found it only needs 10.6# weitght on it constantly vs the 50# recommended minimum operating load to keep the cable from unraveling on the spool. I highly recommend Dutton-Lainson porducts.
