If you're lifting a heavy load, you want to keep yourself and your equipment safe. The built-in handbrake will lock the lever so the load stays in place.
The slotted screw holes on the winch give you lots of leeway for where and how you can mount it. It's easy to replace your old hand winch, even if it's from a different brand like Fulton or Dutton-Lainson.
This steel winch is zinc plated to prevent rust and corrosion. Salt-spray tested to 600 hours, it will have no problem handling water, whether that's on a boat trailer or out in the rain.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Curt hand crank winch with hand brake. It's a zinc finish rate at 1000 pound support capacity. So folks, again, a nice built in hand brake and it uses a locking lever to secure your load once you've got tension and everything on it. Now, one thing to know now from the get go, this does not include any kind of cable, strap, anything like that. You need to purchase that separately if you need it.
And then you can free spool backwards if you need to as well. The handle length here is seven inches long, so a very nice long handle. You got a nice ergonomic, kind of a triangular shaped if you will handle, so it's really nice to use and operate. As far as the base and mounting, as you know with most winches, you get oblongated holes here in the front and the back, and that's just so this will fit a variety of mounting options for you. You have a lot of space to kind of slide it front, back, left, right, those kind of things.
The hub diameter and the hub dimensions here on the main part is a 56 millimeter diameter and a 50 millimeter wide diameter. The gear issue is 4.2 to one and once again, it's a 1000 pound capacity winch. Well folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
