This Dutton-Lainson industrial winch is designed for standard-duty vertical lifting operations. Crank handle clockwise to lift the load, counter-clockwise to lower the load. Automatic brake stops load when hand cranking stops.

Put it together every thing worked . the brake works as i did a test on it. I need to mount it on my van so it will be a couple of weeks. Winch is well built. Tks kaylyn. Eric
Stupid me ordered the wrong one but Etrailer assisted me with my return and sending me another.
Winch replacement was SIMPLE. 3 bolts and the cable connector, now our tent trailer top raises like new.
30 min's tops. Very pleased.
Excellent customer service. Product arrived quickly and was exactly what I ordered and expected. Works prefect and I was even able to use my existing wheel from my old brake winch.
I purchased these to allow me to easily raise and lower the Purple Martin house that I just built. It weighs around 50 pounds so I needed a brake wench to make sure that I can actually raise and lower it safely. I will post pictures after I have put it up.

I previously had a Dutton-Lainson Model B1200 braking winch, which served me well for 20 years. This unit appeared to be as good as previously one I owned. This will replace previous unit that was worn out.
Built well, bought as a replacement on a lite tower winch.

Amazingly study and perfect function! I am using the winch to connect to my seawall davit to lift a waverunner out of the water onto my seawall.

The winch pulls the bike up with ease. Very happy with winch and will buy again from etraier
