Correct MORryde CRE3000 Upgraded Equalizers

Updated 08/23/2026 | Published 08/11/2026

Question:

Hello, I hope you can clarify something for me on my suspension upgrade. I am upgrading the suspension on my Forest River Vibe 18RB. I have 42in wheelbase and 14 3/4 between the two leaf spring bolts. However my stock Dexter stabilizer only has a 1 3/4 inch from the Center bolt to a straight line between the other two holes. This compares to a of 3 1/4 on the CRE3000. Did I buy the wrong MORryde or will this work? Thank you John

Thanks for you letting us help John. Based on the the wheel base and outer shackle measurement, the MORryde 14-3/4" Shock Absorbing Equalizers # MR34AR would be the correct upgraded equalizers. The vertical hanger bolt to shackle bolt dimension is almost always going to be larger due to the construction of the upgraded equalizers and really shouldn't be an issue. I am going to attach a snap shot from MoRryde's CRE3000 qualification document that discusses some clearance measurements just to be safe. With your 1-3/4" existing equalizer height, you'll want to use option 2 to check clearance.

Are you tackling this project yourself or having this done at a shop?

John_ I had the same setup on my Jayco Nighthawk 23MRB. I've installed the MoRryde's CRE3000, and could'nt be happier with the way it pulls-the ride is totally different and much better-5500 miles roundtrip to DC proved it.

@MatthewC Glad to hear the CRE3000's are holding up well. A 5500 mile round trip is quite the testament.

Thank you for your reply. Having read the complete Qualification guide, and in particular the guidance on shackles, I opted for the 3 1/8 inch shackles instead of the 2 1/4 stock shackles. I fitted yesterday and the ride height is now the same as stock. I am excited to try them this weekend.

I installed the CRE3000 and it worked out well. There is a little more difference in height between the bolt holes but it works out properly only raises the trailer height minimally. I installed all new spring bushings and wet bolts and had an issue with all of the supplied grease zerks that he button head that the grease gun attaches to were all too small and would not retain the grease gun fitting to be able to grease. I went to a local NAPA auto parts store and purchased correctly manufactured zerks and problem was solved. I didn't bother contacting etrailer to let them know because I just wanted to get everything done.
