Published 10/13/2022

Question:

Thank you for getting back with me. The measurements between the 2 axles is 31.25". The equalizer from the 2 lower bolts are 6.25". From the middle bolt to the lower bolt is 3 7/8". All of these are measured from the center of the bolts or the axle. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks so much for that info, and to replace your current leaf springs that are 24 inches apart from center eye to center eye, you want springs that are slightly shorter because over time they flatten out. So for replacements I recommend 23-1/8" long springs:

- 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 23-1/8" Long # e59SR

Then to replace your equalizer with a MORryde equalizer, you'll want to measure your axle from center to center, which will be your wheelbase, and the correct equalizer will be based off of that:

- 33" Wheelbase: MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers # MR87ZR

- 35" Wheelbase: MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers # MR27ZR

- 42" Wheelbase: MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers # MR34AR

Then to mount the equalizers, you will need the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps # MR46ZR.

Thanks for that info and based on your measurements of your equalizer, the closest equalizer upgrade to your measurements is Lippert Road Armor: - Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit - Tandem Axle # LC696740 The # LC696740 has bolt holes that measure 6 inches apart center to center, and 3-1/2 inches from the top middle bolt to the center of the equalizer, which closely lines up with your measurements. You can use the the MORryde # MR46ZR with this as well, but the Road Armor has bronze bushings already installed so you would not use those from the kit. Otherwise you can use the Lippert AP Kit - Tandem Axle Road Armor Wet Bolts and Shackles # LC52SV.
