Hey Douglas! The best option for an upgrade is the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers. This comes with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and heavy duty shackle straps. Do you know the length of your current shackles? If they're 2-1/4" center hole to center hole you need # MR46ZR and for 3-1/8" # MR76ZR. Both kits are compatible with your Dexter # K13-142-02.

Does it matter what the width of the springs are? I believe mine are 1 3/4"

@DouglasS 1-3/4" is the standard for all double-eye leaf springs so that isn't a concern.

@RobinHalso if I wanted to upgrade the equalizers to a more cushioned one which one can replace the one I already listed 42" wheelbase

@Douglas you can use the MORryde 14-3/4" Shock Absorbing Equalizers # MR34AR which match your current equalizer measurement and wheelbase measurement.

@DougS it depends on the nut, the socket you're using should give you the answer. If you're using an 11/16" socket on a 7/16-20 nut it is 40 ft-lbs and if you're using a 3/4" socket on a 1/2-20 nut it is 80 ft-lbs.

@RobinH I set my torque wrench to 80 ft lbs and had a wrench on the nurled end that was in the hangars and probably because the torque wrench was longer than the wrench the nurled end turned do all my hangars need to be replaced now?

@DougS depends on how bad it is, if they still aren't rotating in there you're fine. If the bolts are spinning now it will allow them to wear out the holes in the hanger quickly and eventually there will be some kind of failure.
