Question:

The Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light has three functions but only three wires with white for ground. Splain that to me Lucy. Thanks

The Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light part # STL64RB is a three function light with those functions being stop, turn, and running. It has a three wire design with the white wire being ground, the black wire for the tail lights, and the red wire for the stop/turn signals. The stop and turn signals are combined on US trailers which this light is designed to be used on which is why the circuits are on the same wire.

I know a lot of customers use this light for a third brake light so if that is what you are looking for then you will need a module to separate the stop/turn circuits, the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module part # PP20-702.
