Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

  • Replacement LED Strip Tail Lights Needed For A Modified Trailer
Hi Jose, If you're saying you want to switch both tail lights to LED light strip-style tail lights then I have a few recommendations depending on the length you'd like: 12-5/8" long x 1" wide x 1/2" tall: Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - Submersible - 9 Diodes - Clear Lens # STL59RCB Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - Submersible - 9 Diodes - Red Lens # STL59RB 20-1/2" long x 1" tall x 3/4" tall: Fusion LED Combination Tail Light Bar for Trailers...

  • How to Use a Taillight for Both Third Brake and Running Light Functions
In order to use a third brake light for both brake and running light signals, you would need to use a light with turn, brake, and running light capabilities such as the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light part # STL59RB. As most trailers are a 3 wire system you would also need to use the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter part # 118158 to separate the brake signals from turn the signals. In order to install the light you would first need to take the ground wire (white) from the taillight...

  • Parts Needed To Haul Your Bikes On The Back Of Your RV
Hey Jeffrey, The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # SH22G is a great rack but unfortunately is not rated for use on the back of an RV. The suspension of a trailer differs greatly compared to that of your personal vehicle. RV/Trailer suspension is designed solely to bear weight and not for comfort so it tends to bounce quite a bit, which can end up damaging the bike rack. Your vehicle's suspension is designed for comfort and is much softer. Adapters like the 2" to 1-1/4" you referenced...

  • Entire Light Bar on Trailer Lights up When Either Turn Signal is Used
If your 17" light bar has 3 wires like the Optronics Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL59RB, then it is only meant to be used on one side. It sounds like you wired everything correctly. I believe that you are spot on with why it is not working correctly. For the bar to have 2 different turn signal sections it would need to have 4 wires. Since it only has 3 this means that the entire light bar will light up whenever it gets any kind of signal. If you wanted separate turn signals then...

  • Can Optronics Trailer Taillight STL59RB be Used as Third Brake Light
You can use the Optronics tailight part # STL59RB as a third brake light like you are wanting. You would just need to run the brake light circuit to the red wire and then ground to the white and you're good.

  • LED Strip Tail Lights For a 2017 Doolittle Enclosed Trailer
It sounds like you are looking for a strip light like the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL59RB which has a red lens or the Clear Lens # STL59RCB. Both these strips have 9 LED diodes and are 12-5/8" long with mounting holes 11-3/4" on center. If you need a different length for your 2017 Doolittle enclosed trailer please let me know and I can help you find the correct length. If you are looking for a light more like you would see under a truck tail gate to put below the door we do...

  • Can Tail Lights be Installed on Kuat Sherpa 2.0
Thank you for the purchase of the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 # SH22B. Since your right turn signal is being obscured you could very possibly use the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL59RB with a 4-Way pigtail like part # HM38134 but I have a different recommendation for you that I believe is a bit simpler to install and will look better since that strip can only carry one turn signal function. I recommend using the Light Kit # 20174 with 2 of the Bracket # BK70BB. The 4-Way connector is already...

  • Auxiliary Indicator Lights for Kuat Sherpa Bike Rack
In order to add lights to your Kuat Sherpa bike rack, I recommend the # C53201 Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights. These lights have a 3M adhesive backing for secure, convenient mounting on a variety of surfaces including your bike rack. Just stick them on and plug the lights into your 4-way flat connector. With the 4-way connection these lights will work with your vehicles running lights, brake lights, and turn signals. If you do not have an existing 4-way connection I would be happy...

  • Kuat Base NV 2.0 Bike Rack Needs Tail Lights
Since you have the tow package with the trailer adapter you can attach lights to your bike rack If you use a 7-pin to 4-pin adapter, like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Pole Flat Connectors, part # C55774, you can attach a trailer light system to your rack. A lightbar system or two trailer lights will work, but if you attach them with screws or bolts you will void the warranty of your Kuat NV 2.0. If you go with a traditional light system...

  • Can Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL59R Be Used as Stop/Turn Light on Trailer
You definitely could use the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL59RB as a standard trailer stop/turn/running light on the sides of your trailer as all of those functions are supported on this light. If you check out the picture I attached you can see a customer of ours who had a similar idea and used them on both sides of the trailer.

  • How To Add Tail Lights To a Bike Rack
In order to create a wiring harness for the two Thinline LED Trailer Tail Lights part # STL59RB I recommend using the Wesbar 4-Pole Flat Connector part # W787264 along with the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors part # DW05744-5. The white wire on each light as well as the trailer connector will need to be run to a bare metal surface. • Is There a LED Trailer Light Strip For Brakes, Turn Signals, and Tail Lights
We have two strip lights that function as brake lights, turn signals, and tail lights, depending on the length you need (I wasn't quite sure what you meant by "min 21" which is why I'm listing both options): - 12-5/8" long: Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL59RB - 20-1/2" long: Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL64RB

  • How to Combine Taillight Circuits Stop and Turn Onto One Circuit
If you wanted to combine your separate turn signals from stoplights for wiring in the Thinline LED Trailer Light part # STL59RB all you'd need is a converter like part # RM-732 and you'd be set. If you wire in the correct signals on the input side of the box the output side would have the signals combined.

  • Installing New 3-Wire Light Assemblies on Trailer
It sounds like the previous lights on your trailer used the mounting hardware for the ground. Your new LED light assemblies have a separate ground wire, which should be attached to a clean, bare metal surface. You will want to make sure that there is no debris or corrosion on the surface you attach it to, as this may lead to the issues you are having with the running lights. In order to install your new assemblies, the other two wires (which should be black and red) will attach to the...

It is submergible and measures 12-5/8 long x 1 tall x 1/2 inch deep. The Thin Line, Over 80" LED Stop/Turn/Tail Light, 3-Function # STL69RRXB has a red lens with reflector. This has 11 white LEDs. • Can Light Bar On Horse Trailer Be Converted to Brake Light
You could do that but you would need a taillight converter like the part # C56196 since trailer taillight circuits have the stop lights and turn signals combined onto the same circuit. You'd wire this converter into your taillight circuits and it would give you a dedicated stoplight circuit on it's red wire that you could run to the light bar and make it a stop light.

  • How to Install New Trailer Tail Light with 3 Wires
Most likely, the red wire on your new tail light is for the turn signal, the black wire is for the tail light and the white wire is for ground. I do recommend testing the wires on your trailer for function, but typically the yellow wire will be for the left turn signal and the brown wire will be for the tail lights. If this is correct, the red wire from the light will connect to the yellow wire on the trailer and the black wire will connect to the trailer's brown wire. The white ground...

  • How to Install 3-Wire LED Type Light to 4-Pole Wiring
A flat 4-pole trailer harness carries three lighting circuits, brake lights, running lights and turn signals. • Relative Light Output Level for Optronics Thinline LED Lights STL59RCB and STL59RB
Both the Optronics lights you referenced, parts # STL59RCB and # STL59RB, are thin-line 9-diode LED light strips that directly surface mount without need for a mounting bracket or bezel. Each light has two mounting holes built in to the housing; these are spaced apart at the same 11-3/4-inch center-to-center distance on the sealed, waterproof polycarbonate housings. I checked with my technical contact at Optronics about the relative lumen brightness of these two similar products. I was...

  • Troubleshooting Left and Right Turn Trailer Light Circuit that Activates Together
Most likely you have the stop/turn and running lights backwards on your trailer light that looks like the part # STL59RB. You can easily test that by seeing if the running light circuit makes the light assembly brighter than the brake circuit. Otherwise you would have a short between the left and right stop/turn circuits which is why they both are activating at same time. You'd need to go over the circuits looking for any shorts between the two wires like cut/exposed wire and fix as needed.

Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 is for a single-LED light. Since you want only the brake light function I suggest using the single-function Optronics Streamline LED Trailer Third Brake Light # STL80RB instead of part # STL59RB. Trailer lights such as # STL59RB are designed to work with what is called a combined system where the brake lights and turn signals are on the same circuit. This is what the 4-Way flat connector has on your vehicle. If you used a converter such as # 118158 it would separate out the brake lights from the turn signals.
