Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a red LED trailer tail light. Now, this trailer tail light serves three functions. With this light, you have your stop light or brake light, tail light, which is your running lights, and your turn signal light. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically, whatever works best for your application. It does feature a really nice weatherproof housing and lens unit that's strong and durable. Protects the internal LEDs from dirt and moisture.

This strip contains a total of 20 diodes, or 20 LEDs. Now, LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they're known to burn brighter, and they're much more efficient. You don't have to worry about changing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments with an LED systems.When it comes to the wiring, it's a three wire pigtail. Your white wire's your ground wire.

Black wire is for the tail or running lights, and then the red is or stop and turn. It's SAE and department of transportation compliant. It mounts directly on the surface of the trailer. Hardware to do so is not included, but it does have two mount holes, one right here and one right here, and these are separated apart from one another on center by 15 and seven eighths inches. The overall measurements of the unit, measuring edge to edge, it measures about 18 inches long.

Overall height is an inch and a half, and the overall depth is about three quarters of an inch.We're gonna go ahead and hook it up to power so you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. Again, the white wire is our ground wire. Black is for our running lights, and then red is for the stop and turn. So, you can see here it sends out a nice bright, consistent signal. Really nice design with the LEDs directly on top of one another, and then when we apply our brakes, you can see how that signal output increases, and it does that same thing when we activate our turn signals.

Again, this light contains 20 diodes, so the multi diode design really helps optimize the overall light output.That's gonna do it for today's look at the red LED trailer tail light.
