Features to know about

Build the Axle Assembly You Need

Replacing an axle doesn't always mean replacing every component. This beam-only axle gives you the axle and straight spindles while letting you choose compatible hubs, brakes, springs, and other components (sold separately). Whether you're replacing damaged running gear or building a trailer from the ground up, you can finish the assembly with the components that match your trailer.

Super Lube Spindles Simplify Bearing Maintenance

Routine bearing service takes less work with Super Lube spindles. A grease zerk in the end of each spindle works with a dust cap that has a removable rubber plug, letting you add fresh grease through the spindle instead of removing the hubs for routine lubrication.

4" Drop Spindles Help Lower the Trailer

The 4" drop spindles position the hubs higher relative to the axle beam, helping lower your trailer's deck height for easier loading and unloading. The axle also has an underslung configuration with the leaf springs mounted below the axle, making it a good replacement when your trailer requires both a 4" drop and underslung suspension.

Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Trailer Axles - Trailer Axle Beam - LC75PK

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles So folks, this is considered a drop axle, a four-inch drop, and it's also considered under slung. And that just means that the springs are going to sit underneath the axle and that configuration will position your springs, again, below the axle, but that's going to give you easier loading and unloading of your trailer. Now, this is considered a 4,000 up to 5,200-pound rating capacity. So that should match a lot of common equipment, dump trailers, heavy duty utility trailers, and those kind of axle ratings.

But as you can see, you should have a manufacturer sticker on your old beam. If you are replacing one, make sure you're trying to match up 100% everything on that sticker. Now if it's faded, it's gone. Sometimes they laser etch it into the metal, but not always if it's an older axle. "So Steven, how do I know which one is mine How do I fix it or match it up" No problem.

So we're going to first measure spring seat to spring seat. So that little hole inside that spring seat, you want to get to the center of that, to the center of that. And that would be right here on both sides. And in this case, I got 78 inches across and it's also on my sticker. Now, the other thing is hub face, or it may say HF on your sticker.

And in this case, I don't have a hub on here, but if your hub was installed, literally the face of the hub, so not to the end of the studs, but right where the face is smooth and straight, that's what you want to measure. In this case, I would get 95 inches hub face all the way over to the other side of the beam to the other hub face. Now I got it here. You can see it comes pre-lube. It is kind of messy, they do put some baggies and stuff over here in shipping, but in all honesty, when you get it, it's probably going to be really greasy.

Not a problem. It's not going to rust, but you're probably going to want to clean it up a little bit when you're installing everything and repack your bearings and everything. Obviously, that's not included or anything. You do have that easy lube or super lube spindle right here on the end. Got your castle nut and washer, of course. This is a five-bolt flange for your brakes. So a 12 inch by two inch brake assembly would fit that. And then of course, again, your spring seats are right here, welded on, under slung. And then you can see right here, you got a little piece of wire popping out there. They run the wire all the way through the inside of the beam for your convenience. So whenever it's time to wire up your brakes for electric brakes, you already have the wires inside the beam. You just pull it out, you'll have to cut it on one side, and then you're ready to go. So make sure you pull that wire out and check it before you cut it. Make sure you got the right length and everything as well. So again, folks, this is the beam only. You will need other components such as U-bolt kit, hubs, brakes, those kind of things. If you don't have them, springs, we carry all that here at etrailer as well. And if you don't want to install this axle beam, we got you covered. Scroll down below on the product page, you should see a link that says Installation Locator. Type in your zip code and based on that information and your location, we can pair you up with trusted etrailer installation locations in your area. Well, folks, that's going to wrap up our quick look together at this Lippert Trailer Axle Beam. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
