When your trailer is over 80" wide, you need rear lighting that’s easy to see and built to last. This UltraThin LED identification light bar uses three red LEDs behind a red lens to give off a bright, even glow that meets DOT and P2 requirements. At just 0.038 amps at 12.8V, it delivers strong illumination without pulling much power. The result is clear visibility that makes your trailer stand out at night without stressing your electrical system.
Sometimes space is limited on the back of a trailer, and bulky lights just won’t fit. Measuring only 15" long x 1-3/8" tall x 5/8" thick, this light bar’s ultrathin profile gives you flexibility when mounting in tight areas. The surface-mount setup keeps installation simple, and the clean design looks sharp once installed. Mounting holes are spaced 14-1/8" center to center so you can line it up precisely where you need it.
Traditional bulbs can fail from vibration or moisture, but this LED setup eliminates that hassle. The three diodes are solid-state, so there are no filaments to break and no bulbs to replace. They last up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights while using less power. That means you get reliable lighting trip after trip without maintenance headaches.
If water exposure is part of your routine, this light is ready for it. The polycarbonate housing and lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit that’s submersible. That tight seal keeps out water, dust, and debris so the internal electronics stay protected. It’s a tough setup built for years of dependable use in any weather or launch ramp conditions.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics Ultra Thin Line LED Identification Light Bar. The Red Thin Line ID light bar is for over 80" applications. It is sonically sealed, so it's got a nice water-proof design to it when it comes to the lens and the housing. It is a two-wire design, so you're going to have your lead wires for power and ground: whites for ground, blacks for power. They're going to have the point 1.80 female molded barrels on the wires, so that allows for an easy connection if you have that type of set-up. If not, those can be cut off and used for hardware applications.
You can just expose the regular wires. When it comes to the housing and lens, we're looking at a polycarbonate construction. It's very strong and durable. It's got a corrosion-resistant design. This is a surface mount installation, so it mounts directly on the surface of what you want to attach this to. You have two mount holes on the unit, one located on each end.
Hardware is not included. This is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. It's a full LED system. LED's are going to make great replacements for incandescent lights: They last longer, they burn brighter, they're much more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. Now we're going to take a look at the overall length measurement real quick, measuring from edge to edge.
This is going to give us a measurement of right around 15 inches, and then measuring the width, that's going to give us a measurement of about 7/8". Then the thickness, this is how far it sticks off the mounting surface. A really low-profile design that's going to measure 5/8" thick. The light's going to contain a total of three LEDs. The power draw of 12.8 volts is 0.038 amps, and Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source so that we can see what it looks like with power running to it.
We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights, so you can see it in a low-light setting. You can see here that the light sends out a nice, clear, consistent signal. Again, it's got three LEDs that fills up the light bar, and the multi-diode design just really helps optimize the light output. I received my light bar and when I inspected it it looked like it wasn’t sealed very good where the wires enter the waterproof lite. It also looked like the wire had a little cut in the outer shield. So before installation I caulked around the wires then installed the lite.

Haven’t had this light long. Seems to be working well so far. Fit my 2019 Ranger Z185 boat perfectly. Very easy to install.
Excellent LED light for trailer. My light had gotten cracked somehow and one of the diodes was dead. Water intrusion/crack did it.
Took a while but found the identical replacement. Same size, same number of diodes and same hole centers for mounting. Perfect.
Took a few days to arrive but it fits perfectly. The connector wires were identical to original.
The last one lasted 4 years. I’m sure it would have been longer had I not hit something when unloading/loading the boat.

This light continues to perform and work perfectly. Very pleased how it has held up in salt water. Note that I rinse it after each use. That’s a must !
