P2-Rated Lights
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
Surface-Mount Light
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

these work but seem to be old stock, picked up some optronics from amazon and some from etrailer in amber and red, the price was the same or cheaper on amazon but those all had 3 diodes, my mistake because I thought they were the same but I would not have purchased these if I had realized

These are awesome lights, just don't let them bounce around alot or the covers come off. I had one on a loose, removable fender and lost the cover twice before fixing the fender. Highly recommend them.

These lights were quite expensive, with that said they really should have been separately wrapped not all just put into mailing envelope. Plastic lenses are scratched which really makes them look used. I purchased 2 amber and 7 red led. approx price $[XX]. I would say in the future wrap them in plastic.

These lights were purchased to replace the incandescent ones ones that were on the cargo trailer as the tail lights were already LEDs. I have purchased many items from etrailer.com in the past and have had excellent results with everything.

- Installation of Optronics LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light With Yellow and White WireI haven't seen the yellow and white before on the # MCL0032ABB but that is likely correct. Yellow is power and white is ground. The easiest way is to test it out. Since you are installing several lights I would go ahead and hook one up and make sure it works before finishing all of the others. If it does not, simply reverse the wires. It won't hurt anything if you wire it the wrong way initially.

- Should Side Clearance Lights on Boat Trailer Act As Turn SignalsIt sounds like you have something like the Amber Lens # MCL0032ABB at the front and the Red Lens # MCL0032RBB at the back of your fenders. Normally these lights are designed to switch on and off with your headlights since they are for clearance purposes. Some trailers may be a bit more fancy and have amber lights that act as both running lights and turn signals but for a boat trailer your amber lights would more likely than not be on the same circuit as your running lights so it sounds...
