A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Optronics trailer clearance or side marker light. This rectangular trailer light serves as either a side marker light or a clearance light for your trailer. Features a really nice red acrylic lens with the reflex reflector built in. The lens is replaceable if ever needed. And then on the bottom we have a black ABS plastic base. Internally it has one incandescent bulb.
Uses bulb number 194, which is included. It mounts directly on the surface of the trailer, so what you'll need to do is remove the lensing to gain access to the two mount holes, and then use mounting hardware to get it installed. Hardware not included. It does have that twist in bolt socket with the power lead and ground wires. It's Department of Transportation compliant.
It is a P2 rated light.When it comes to the overall dimensions, starting with the overall length going edge to edge, looking at about four inches by two inches, and the overall depth is about one inch deep. The mount holes are separated on center by three inches and they have a diameter measurement of a quarter inch. We're gonna go ahead and hook it up to power; that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it, and we'll also turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a lower light setting. Now this unit contains one incandescent bulb. Sends out a nice consistent signal, and here you can see that reflex material is built in to the lens.
Increases safety and visibility. It's a really nice design, plenty of light output, and again that bulb number, if you ever need to replace it, it uses bulb number 194.That's gonna do it for today's look at the Optronics trailer clearance or side marker light.

Excellent product just what the old camper needed.
They’ve been on my camper for about a year, and they work excellent. They matched the original lights very well. Were really easy to install even for someone like myself who is not mechanically or electrically inclined, had them on and working in just a few minutes.
They look ok but I will need to test them all before installing as the five of them were in a box with no packing rattling around.

Very happy with my purchase. These lights are the exact same as the OEM light on my '15 Forest River Grey Wolf. My reason for purchase was that one of the original lenses had gone missing (likely on the side of the highway somewhere) and a full replacement light was less expensive than a replacement lens alone. Exact fit. We tried to buy this at our local AutoZone and could not find this exact one, but we ordered it from etrailer.com and it fit perfect!
I only really needed to get the lens cover for the lights, but with the price being very affordable I bought the whole unit, 2 red and 2 amber for front and rear clearance lights. When I received them, I removed the lens cover and it fit perfectly over my existing clearance lights. I will just save the light and wiring if I need them in the future. Customer rep Ashley was great helping me over the phone. This is my second purchase from etrailer and will come back to them for future needs
