Optronics MC32 Series Incandescent Marker Clearance Light Dimensions

P2-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for P2 rated light

A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

This is a good quality light, water tight and worked well. It has been on the trailer for over a year now and still has no issues. The lens can interchange on other similar bases, but if the base is old and damaged like mine was, this is a great replacement.

by:

Easy replacement for my Thor Hurricane back lights.

still working as expected!

by:

Excellent product at an affordable price. I also appreciate the follow up after the purchase from trailer staff.

by:

The part was an exact fit for the original. Good quality, price was ok. I had no problems with installation.

by:

Needed new lenses for existing RV marker lights. Product arrived in good condition.

by:

It is a perfect match to the marker light i have to replace. You guys are great.

by:

Fit perfectly in the spot where the old one was. Easy replacement

by: 01/02/2024

Items arrive broken because they put them loose in the same box with spring hangers!

by:

Good replacement, same as what I have.

by:

It was hard to find this market light, trailer comes thru again!

by:

These lights are really good for the price! (I ordered 16)
They aren't cheap feeling or flimsy.
They feel sturdy, durable and they look quality.
The wires are the correct gauge and the light bulb is in a rubber grommet for weather sealing.
The light is sealed very well and it takes some effort to remove the lens cover.
The lens is thick and the color is true. The reflector is bright.
I was genuinely impressed with lights especially for the cost.
These will be replacing older side marker and clearance lights on my older 1985 Sunstream motor home.
My lights are faded, some broken, mostly leaking and more costly to replace than what they are worth.
These MC32RB and the Amber version lights will look great!
Slightly different style, same size and better looking and better quality than the originals.
Very happy with lights and etrailer.
Will be ordering more items.
Thanks.
G.

older trailer was put on replaced exactly as broken one

by:

I purchased red and amber lights to replace the faded and broken ones on my travel trailer. Camping World wasn't able to help me. Found you all while searching the internet. Great produce. Great price. Better than the originals. The screws that secure the lights to the trailer are protected from the weather (they are under the removable lens. Easy to install. Ended up replacing all eleven lights.

by:

Perfect fit!

by:

This product was an exact replacement for the o e installed on my RV. Installation was a snap!

The light is still working well and has not faded or cracked. Very happy with it.

by:

Easy to order and arrived quickly! It was a perfect match!

by:

This is a standard size clearance light. It should work for most customers. It was a replacement for a light that just had two wires coming out the back. This product has a gromet that extends out the back. It did not fit my entry hole. I modified the geometry to make work.

by:

Perfect fit and the color needed. Installing was a breeze.

by:

Fit perfectly

by:

This was my 2nd time ordering from e-trailer! They are great to deal with. Parts are 100% factory match for my camper. Always fast shipping too!

by:

It works as designed. I had to use a black marker on the white edge to make it match the other marker lights on my trailer.

by:

This is a very nice looking and well made light. I needed to modify the two wire configuration to a single wire as I could not run a ground wire. It was a simple modification. I have included a series of pictures to illustrate. I am very happy with the price and quality.

by:

The marker lights work excellent and will try not to run into my fence again!

by:

I highly recommend this product if you need to replace a broken light housing or cover. You won't be disappointed.

by:

let there be light, worked great.

  • How Does the Replacement Lens A32RB Fit on the MC32RB
The base of the Optronics Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light w/ Reflector - Incandescent - White Base - Red Lens # MC32RB, which is what the # A32RB is designed for, will have clips on it to assist with keeping it secure. If your light does not have the clips on it, but this lens still fits, you can use some double sided tape around the outside of the bracket to help keep this secure. I wouldn't suggest using glue of any type because if the lens were ever to break again, you likely...

  • Looking for Replacement Trailer Lamp Lens # 1A-S-20
I was able to find the exact replacement amber (1A-S-20A) and red (1A-S-20R) lenses. I did a Google search on kaper2 (or Kaper II), and found replacement lenses. Their replacement lenses are shown as measuring 4 inches long, by 2 inches wide by 3/4 inches high. I pulled one of the Optronics # A32RB off of the shelf, and measured it using a dial caliper. I came up with 4.013 inches long, by 1.97 inches wide by .67 inches high. I suspect that in measuring their lens, Kaper II might very...

  • Do the Clearance Lights MC32RB and MC32AB have Gaskets
Both the # MC32RB and the # MC32AB do not have foam gaskets between the lens and the base. It is unlikely but possible that your current trailer lights had lenses that were once color and have now faded to being totally clear.

  • Replacement for Kaper II 1A-S-20 Trailer Lights
We do not carry those exact parts, though we do have something with the same dimensions that should work for you. Optronics light # MC32RB is red while # MC32AB is amber. I've added links to video reviews of each light for you to take a look at.

  • Replacement Red Lens for Running Lights on a 2016 Coachmen Leprechaun Morothome
We have a number of replacement red lenses. But unfortunately, your RV information does not tell me what lights that you have on your Leprechaun. A pretty common light is something like the Optronics # MC32RB. Which has a replacement lens of # A32RB. This light measures 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. You can compare this to the dimensions on your existing lens to see if it might work as a replacement. Otherwise, I recommend seeing if you can find any part or manufacturer information...

  • LED Replacements for Optronics Rectangular Trailer Clearance Lamp MC32RB
We do not have an exact LED replacement for the incandescent side marker lamp you mentioned, part # MC32RB, but we have an alternative that is very close. Part # MCL31RB (red lens) and part # MCL31AB (amber lens) are shaped a bit differently than the lamp you referenced. They are also about an 1/8 of an inch wider and thinner in depth. The important dimension, the distance between the mounting holes, is still three inches, so you will be able to use the existing holes. If you click on...

  • Replacement Lens Recommendation for Trailer Clearance Light with Number SAE AP2 01
The SAE number of a trailer light isn't always the best way to pick out a replacement light since that isn't a part number. But most likely you are looking for a # A32RB which measures 4 inch by 2 inch.

  • Trailer Taillight Lens Recommendation with SAE Number AP2 01
Do you have a picture of the light? The SAE number really isn't a part number so there is no cross reference. But most likely you are looking for a # MC32RB which measures 4 inch by 2 inch. Or for amber part # MC32AB.

  • How to Install Trailer Light part # MC32AB to a Trailer with a Single Power Wire
Sounds like you bought the # MC32AB and the # MC32RB to replace what you have on your trailer. This is the only style of light we offer in that size. It sounds like your trailer may ground it's light assemblies through the mounting hardware. Which in this case would mean that you would only need to run the ground wire of this light to the mounting hardware and the other to the power wire of your trailer's wiring.

  • Replacement Taillight Lens Recommendation for a 2001 Dutchman Classic
If the light on your 2001 Dutchman Classic looks like the part # MC32RB then yes, the part # A32RB would be the correct replacement lens to use. Nearly all trailer taillight manufacturers will use the same designs and the lenses will interchange. So take a good look at the # MC32RB, and if it matches what you have then the # A32RB would work for you.

  • Will Replacement Red Lens for MC32RB Trailer Lights # A32RB Replace a P2A 01 Light Lens
The Replacement Red Lens for MC32RB Trailer Lights # A32RB is specifically designed to fit the Rectangular Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Light with Reflector # MC32RB from Optronics so I don't think it will fit your light. The P2A 01 number that you gave me relates to the SAE number and not the product number so we typically wouldn't know what your dimensions are. • Does the Snap On Reflex Lens on the Bargman 99 Series Trailer Light # 3499001 Qualify as a Reflector
We do carry clearance and side marker lights that also qualify as reflectors, however, I spoke with my contact at Bargman and the Bargman 99 Series Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light, # 3499001, does not qualify as a reflector. Instead, I would recommend the Optronics Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light, # MC32RB. This light is DOT compliant as both a reflector and a clearance or side marker light. We do offer the Optronics trailer light # MC32RB for red and # MC32AB for amber. These lights will be extremely similar to the # MCL31RB that you mentioned, but they are a bit more square on the ends. The mounting holes on the # MC32RB are 3" apart on center which should be fairly standard. This # MC32AB and # MC32RB appear to be what you are looking for.

We don't have a great way that I could recommend you mount the light, but you could use a clearance light like the part # MC32RB as it is a small, red clearance light that would work well.
